A Napoleonic Light Infantry Officer's Sabre First Empire (1804-1814) With curved fullered blade (some old minor pitting and rust staining) double-edged towards the point, the forte etched and gilt against a blued ground with a sun-in-splendour, crossed banners and foliage along one side, a wreath, a decorative panel and foliage along the other, brass hilt comprising shield-shaped langets, downbent rear quillon with moulded terminal, slightly swelling fluted knuckle-guard, cap-shaped pommel, and ebony grip diagonally fluted over each side, in original brass scabbard (some old denting) of flattened octagonal section with two rings for suspension and steel shoe (pitted) 83 cm. blade For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
