Alastair Gibson Auctions is run by Alastair Gibson MRICS, former Sotheby’s Director and Head of Chinese & Japanese Ceramics & Works of Art in London and Europe. As a former council member of the British Antique Dealers Association and a former director of Asian Art in London, Alastair has nearly thirty years of experience within the auction and fine art world.

Alastair Gibson Auctions is run by Alastair Gibson MRICS, former Sotheby’s Director and Head of Chinese & Japanese Ceramics & Works of Art in London and Europe. As a former council member of the British Antique Dealers Association and a former director of Asian Art in London, Alastair has nearly thirty years of experience within the auction and fine art world.
In 2008 Alastair set up Gibson Antiques, specialising in oriental ceramics and works of art alongside consulting for private individuals, auction houses, fine art valuation companies, museums and law firms.
Since 2020 Alastair has concentrated on developing Alastair Gibson Auctions and held his first live auction in London on the 18th of November 2021.
