Two Continental Military Sabres, And A Continental Infantry Briquet All 19th Century, Probably Austrian The first with bright curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point, steel stirrup hilt with downbent rear quillon, knuckle-guard cut with fluting, pommel and back-piece in one, and leather-covered grip (worn), in original scabbard with shoe and rounded suspension mounts, the latter each with ring (hilt and scabbard with old pitting); the second of similar form (rust patinated overall); the last of regulation type, the blade stamped on one side at the forte with indistinct maker's name over 'ICS/500', and on the other with '1850', and brass hilt with integral ribbed grip, in its black leather scabbard (damaged, chape missing) with steel locket and heart-shaped frog-button (3) 83.2 cm., 65 cm. and 64 cm. blades For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
