Various Items Of Uniform Relating To The 5th And 6th Earls Spencer As Lord Lieutenants 19th Century And Later In the manner of a general officer and comprising a khaki cap with red band, frontal badge, and thick bullion foliate decoration on the peak, retailed by W. Cater & Co., London; two khaki tunics each with medal ribbons, one with embroidered crowned Spencer label inside the collar, a pair of riding breeches, and a khaki greatcoat; a bicorne hat retailed by Lesley & Roberts, London, the inside embroidered with a crowned 'A'; a pair of silver bullion epaulettes, in their original japanned metal carrying tin; a red cloth coatee with sewn-in sword-frog, the scarlet collar and cuffs embroidered with oak foliage in silver threads; a black military greatcoat with red lining and sewn-in Henry Poole & Comp.y label inscribed 'Earl Spencer'; a black cape with embroidered crowned Spencer label inside the collar; and two leather straps: contained in two japanned metal carrying cases each with brass escutcheon on the outside of the lid engraved respectively 'Rt.
