A French Second Empire Chasseur Du Vincennes Officer's Sword Circa 1840 With associated slightly curved pipe-back blade double-edged at the spear point and indistinctly etched with manufactory details along the back at the forte, stamped with two inspector's marks on one side at the forte, regulation brass hilt cast and pierced with bound branches of laurel and oak against a panoply of banners, pommel en suite, and wire-bound dark horn grip, in its steel scabbard (minor rust patination) engraved with owner's initials 'F.M' over '1863-1870' and with two rings for suspension 76 cm. blade For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
