Three French 1855 Model Infantry Officer's Sabres 19th Century The first with slightly curved fullered blade (old rust patination) double-edged at the point, regulation gilt-brass hilt pierced with flowering foliate scrolls and stamped 'TOURON' behind the scrolled quillon, and wire-bound dark horn grip, in its brass-mounted leather scabbard (broken above the lower suspension mount) with two rings for suspension; the second with slightly curved bright fullered blade etched with Chatellerault manufactory details along the back at the forte (some surface rust), regulation brass hilt, and wire-bound dark horn grip, in original steel scabbard (some rust patination) with two rings for suspension; the last of similar form, the back of the blade at the forte engraved 'Chatellerault 1870', regulation brass hilt retaining some gilding, and wire-bound dark horn grip, in original steel scabbard with two rings for suspension (3) 77 cm., 76.7 cm. and 76 cm. blades For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
