Das Thema wurde um 1800 häufig aufgegriffen, dem Gedanken „au bon sauvage“ entsprechend, was bedeutet, dass in der frühen Kolonialzeit Frankreichs der „Edle Wilde“ im Sinne Rousseaus auch in der Kunst darstellungswürdig geworden ist. Eingebaut ein Taschenuhrwerk mit weißem Emailzifferblatt mit arabischen Stunden, die Breguet-Zeiger gebläut. Unruhspiralfeder-Abdeckung fein ziseliert. Auf Funktionsfähigkeit nicht geprüft. Gehäuse: Mit jungem Afrikaner neben einem Warenballen mit Anker und Geldsack. in vergoldeter und brünierter Bronze.Längsovaler Sockel über Spindelfüßen, darauf Applikation mit Delfinen, als Symbol des Handelsschiffverkehrs. Darauf bezieht sich auch der Anker neben dem Ballen, in den das Ziffernblatt eingefügt ist. Augen in Glas eingesetzt. Das Thema wurde um 1800 häufig aufgegriffen, dem Gedanken „au bon sauvage“ entsprechend, was bedeutet, dass in der frühen Kolonialzeit Frankreichs der „Edle Wilde“ im Sinne Rousseaus auch in der Kunst darstellungswürdig geworden ist. Zifferblatt: Weißes Emailzifferblatt mit arabischen Stunden und Viertelminuten sowie 30-Tage Kalenderziffern. Die Breguet-Zeiger gebläut. Unruhspiralfeder-Abdeckung fein ziseliert. One of the case screws is absent.The dial is dirty but he numbers are legible. The signature is faded but also legible. The hands looks as though they have been removed and reattached as they are a little scratched at the centre.There are some losses to the pearl strings towards the clasp. The clasp still snaps securely.The watch does not run when wound and cannot be guaranteed for timekeeping.

Total watch weight 85.2g.
