A Paris porcelain (Clignancourt) armorial plate late 18th/early 19th century, painted with the crest and shield of the Ainslie family above the motto 'Pro Rege et Patria', within a floral garland border, stencilled red monogram, and a Paris porcelain tray, painted in sepia camaieu with two putti within a scrolled panel, the rim with rabbits amidst gilt and enamel scrollwork and leaf borders, blue crossed arrows mark possibly for La Courtille, some rim sections restuck, 31.5cm max. A Sèvres covered jug (pot à l'eau tourné) c.1779, decorated with a pattern of diminishing gilt dots, the rim with a gilt scroill border, a Paris porcelain (Clignancourt) chocolate jug with side handle, gilded with floral swags and a narrow leaf band, a large Feuillet cup with small polychrome flower sprigs, and a La Courtille sauce tureen painted with flower sprays within a gilt dentil rim, some damages and losses, 24cm max. (4) The jug is part of a service ordered for the Duc and Duchesse de Polignac and is similar to a service ordered for the Comte de Provence. Judith spotted this jug on a 1995 episode of The Great Antiques Hunt and managed to track it down.

(Quantity) CONDITION REPORTS: Generally in good condition, expected wear. Two plates chipped with associated loss and hairline, one plate with hairline crack, one plate with star crack. Two shell dishes chipped with associated loss and hairlines. Bowl chipped with associated loss, cracked and stapled. Pierced basket with one handle lacking and slight firing cracks. Sauce tureen cover lacking handle.

A CLIGNANCOURT PORCELAIN GILT BRONZE MOUNTED COMPOTE Having repeating gilt painted floral swag motif surrounding the central medallion of a courting couple, signed at lower left, the porcelain bowl with beaded gilt bronze mounting to the rim and raised on a tripartite footed pedestal above a further porcelain base, marked to base with Clignancourt mark in red and stamped France beneath the mount. H 6¼ x W 9¼ x D 9¼ inches.
