An Officer's Sword Of The Honourable Artillery Company Retailed By Samuels Brothers, 29 Ludgate Hill, London, Mid-Late 19th Century With tapering double-edged blade (some scattered light pitting) of flattened hexagonal section etched along most of its length on each side with scrolling foliage and HAC arms and motto, the forte on one side with retailer's details, ormolu hilt with pierced shell-guard set with a white-metal flaming grenade between scrolls, lobed rear quillon and knuckle-guard cast and chased with florets, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in original black leather scabbard (broken, some scuffing) with linear engraved ormolu locket and chape, the latter with two rings for suspension, and retaining nearly all its original gilding 79.3 cm. blade For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
