A walnut bureau, early 18th century, the feather banded fall front fitted with sliding well, pigeon holes and drawers around a central cupboard, over two short and two long drawers on bracket feet100 x 94 x 52cmPlease see addtional images for condition. Splits to the sides seem to be historic and there has been sympathetic restoration at some point. Some historic cracking to the book matched veneers to the fall as you might expect for a piece of furniture of this age and date. Drawers run fairly smoothly. Historic worm damage to the backboards. Restoration to the feet. Handles have been replaced.

This book contains some very interesting photographs from the first year of the Second World War, including photographs from the Battle of Britain and the first photograph of the bombing of Berlin.
