A drum-shaped ceramic vessel with short neck, domed lip and conical base, medial band of impressed annulets, triangles and other shapes; intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade. Original vintage advertising poster – Fly Japan Air Lines featuring artwork by Ito Shinsui (1898-1972). The image shows a Geisha wearing an ornate headdress, and red and blue kimono, carrying a drum over her shoulder. The picture has a gold border at the top and bottom, with white text and the JAL logo in white. Ito was a Japanese painter and ukiyo-e woodblock artist. He began his artistic training aged 12 at the Tokyo Prining Company and came to be known as one of the great artists of the shin-hanga movement and the bijin-ga genre (paintings featuring beautiful women). This 1981 Sable Metallic Series I (with its futuristic switchgear and revolving drum instrumentation) automatic transmission example has had five keepers from new. The history folder includes the current and past V5s, Haynes and official Citroen workshop manuals, and a large assortment of bills for servicing and maintenance dating back to the 1990s, plus various old MoTs. Its last MoT was in 2019 at 10,232 miles - this total actually being 110,232 miles as previous MoTs show sub-100,000 tallies. The current mileage is recorded as (1)12,076. The car would benefit from some cosmetic attention, with one area needing attention being the missing interior headlining. Various spares are included with the sale (see image).
