John Senex, an early 18th Century map engraving, 'France corrected from ye observations made by ye Royal Academy of Science, Paris', the cartouche surrounded by various figures, a second cartouche dedicated to Charles Boyle, Earl of Orrery, 20 miles to the inch, showing towns and cities, rivers, mountains and forests in pictorial relief, main roadways and coastline variations according to Dutch maps -- 92 x 65cm. Unframed and sparsely coloured.
