A collection of 19th century porcelain figures Figures of putti and a goat, with Meissen mark to the underneath and impressed letters 'AB' to the underside, 14cm high; a Meissen salt cellar with a lady with a posey of flowers sitting atop a pair of baskets, 13cm high; a band of four figurines of cherubs playing instruments, the tallest 14.5cm high; and a Meissen figure of a lady at her easel, 13cm high.From the estate of Sir John Elliott FBA, an eminent British historian and Hispanist who was Regius Professor at the University of Oxford and honorary fellow of Oriel College, Oxford, and Trinity College, Cambridge.The goat group in generally good condition with one of the horns with a loss halfway along its length. Signs of repair to the fabric falling from the goat's back at its base, and signs of repair to the fabric attached to the second boy's back. One of the handles of the basket on the salt cellar is missing, some minor losses to the bocage, one foot missing from the figure, The cherubs in generally good condition with minor losses to the extremities. the maiden with her easel is missing her arm, with slight rubbing to the painted decoration, and the head appears to have been reattached.
