HALL'S PATENT CLOCK GUN STATION ROAD WORKS, WIGTON CUMBERLAND', the reverse with 'DANGER', the internal face of panel bearing a paper instruction label, the mechanism comprised of twelve dropping weights held aloft by thin twine and in turn attached to a recumbent clockwork mechanism, the conventional hands replaced with a knife blade cutting the twine at the pre-selected times allowing the weight to discharge one of twelve horizontally mounted pinfire blanks, iron parts of mechanism lightly rusted, clock apparently functioning and complete with a number of wooden dowel dummy weights for static display.
