A fine 19th century silver-plated dessert service: two pairs of nut crackers, a set of 12 silver-plated and mother of pearl handled dessert knives and forks, a pair of berry spoons, two picks and a pair of grape scissors; all within a highly unusual folding oak case with five hinged sections folding inwards; the upper section bearing the mark of James R. Ogden, Goldsmith, Jeweler and Diamond Merchant, 23 Cambridge Street, Harrogate; the folded case 31cm high x 24.5cm wide at the plinth base
