The Cotswold Auction Company does not provide a postage or packing service.

For small items up to 20 kilos mjmpost458@gmail.com offer a service separately and  independently.

Items can be collected in person, by proxy (by arrangement only) or collection arranged by the buyer with a courier company that also packs. Collection of purchased and unsold lots must be arranged by the end of the sale week.

Collection & Delivery

All items must be collected within 2 weeks of purchase, unless prior arrangement is made with the auctioneeers.


The Cotswold Auction Company does not provide a postage or packing service. Items can be collected in person, by proxy (by arrangement only) or collection arranged by the buyer with a courier company that also packs. Items purchased in the Cirencester and Gloucester sales and not collected on the day will be moved to our Cheltenham office for collection later (transfer fees may apply). Larger items and quantities of items may be consigned to a local remover for storage, at the buyer's cost. 

 

Commission, Telephone & Live Online Bidding

Payment

Please note that credit cards will be subject to 3% charge.

 

When paying by cheque, please leave 7 working days before collecting lots to allow cheques to clear. 

 

Artist Resale Rights

All works of art by living artists or those who have died within the last 70 years may be subject to Artists Resale Rights charges. These charges can be up to 4% of the hammer price on lots sold for over the GBP£ equivalent of €1000 (based on the exchange rate on day of purchase). 

 

Condtion Reports & Image Requests

 Please note that whilst we will make every effort to repond to all requests for condition reports, additional details or photograph, due to time constraints we cannot guarantee replies to all. The auctioneer cannot accept any reponsibility for missing details or images. Condition reports should be used as a guide only, and refer only to obvious damage visible under normal light. 

 

Books: The catalogue descriptions are a guide only; books are not collated unless stated. It is recommended that condition reports are received in person if buyer unable to view and buyers must satisfy themselves as to condition before bidding.

CITES and Export: Please ensure that the correct export licenses are procured for international trade. The Cotswold Auction Company accepts no responsibility for the failure to procure or refusal of export licenses.
