In 1931, at the age of 33, Carp had her first solo exhibition. This was organised by the merchant and patron of Amadéo Modigliani, Léopold Zborowski and held in his gallery at 26 rue de Seine in Paris. She also exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Indépendants, Salon des Tuileries and Salon d'Automne, as well at the Union des Femmes Françaises and the Salon de Mai in 1949.In 1961, the famous art critic Waldemar George wrote: 'Esther Carp's work cannot easily be placed in any existing category of the School of Paris. Born in Poland, she lived in France and assimilated certain techniques of Italian Futurism as well as elements of composition derived from French Cubism in her almost abstract works, she achieves a completely different goal by breaking down colours into spots analogous to those of pointillism, thus suggesting movement or even stereoscopy.'1.
