Hay D.S.O., O.B.E, the first dated 30th September 1918 from Field Marshal Sir Archibald Armar Montgomery-Massingberd, GCB, GCVO, KCMG, DL to E.O. Hay regarding his son, then Captain AK Hay, the next dated 10th April 1935 to A K Hay, from the Sir Archibald Armar Montgomery-Massingberd written from the War Office and mentioning his 'extremely interesting trip to Egypt, Palestine and The Sudan...' as well as 'Hitler's various announcements during the last month or two have fairly startled Europe and set everyone buzzing.', two dated 1944, both to A.K. Hay, from Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, KG, GCB, DSO dated 3rd June and 14th September written from the Headquarters of the 21 Army Group and the final letter from Montgomery of Alamein to A. K Hay, dated 22nd March 1946 handwritten from Camberley, together with the Baptism certificate listing Field Marshal Sir Archibald Armar Montgomery-Massingberd, GCB, GCVO, KCMG, DL as Godfather to Joseph Beckford Hay, son of A. K. Hay, together with a telegram from Major General E.O. Hay to the High Commissioner of the Union of South Africa, dated 9th September 1918 and a further letter to Hay dated October 23rd 1900 and a WWI photograph. (9)Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B.
