The letter bears to the upper left front page a crowned Bath blind embossed seal. To the address leaf Donizetti annotates `To Monsieur Geiger, famous Composer, to his home´. Donizetti refers to the male singers chosen for a performance he is organizing, and states `Mr Varesi, Mr. Gardoni , et Mr. Rovere (auquel il faut parler) chanteront le trio de Scaramuccia. Further, Donizetti asks his correspondent to choose an additional piece to perform, saying `Choisissez un duo pour tenor et baryton, ou bien pour bariton et basse. Indiquez-les nous tout de suite, et alors je me charge de le leur apprendre´ (Translation: "Choose a duet for tenor and baritone, or for baritone and bass. Tell us about them right away, and then I'll take care of teaching them.") A letter of very good association and musical content. With address leaf.
