A large early mohair Teddy Bear, German possibly Bing circa 1910, the straw filled bear with growler, black boot button eyes, vertically stitched nose, stitched mouth and claws, pronounced hump to back, swivel neck and jointed at shoulders and hips, elongated arms and large feet with velvet paw pads, 28” (71cm) tall, together with a photograph showing the bear with its original owner, (condition: general wear and some bald patches mainly to right leg and right side of body, left ear loose, pads replaced, stuffing to tops of arms shifted, some old re-stitching to lower neck and lower back seam, photo blurred).
