Comprising of: 5 dinner plates, 7 plates, 2 side plates, 8 teaplates, 7 sandwich plates, 8 tea cups, 7 saucers, 6 coffee cups & saucers, 6 dessert bowls, 7 fruit dishes, 2 sugar bowls, 1 milk jug, 1 cream jug, 1 cheese dish, 1 teapot, 2 oval serving bowls, 2 round serving bowls, a 2 tier cake plate, 6 juive hoblets (3a/f), 1 large round platter, 1 large oval platter, 1 gravy dish and 1 grapefruit bowl.
A good set of four Edwardian silver goblets, Daniel and John Wellby, London 1905, the bowls with ribbon tied swag and ram's head decoration, raised on waisted pedestal bases, 6in. (15.2cm.) high, weight 28.3 tr.oz. (4) * Condition: Slight rubbing to marks but all still clearly legible. Small and faint ding to bowl on three goblets. Small ding to swag on one goblet. Good condition overall.
A pair of archaic style Chinese bronze ritual wine vessels, probably 20th century, Jue form, in the manner of Shang dynasty, helmet form bowls with taotie mask engraving and C-scroll handles, elongated pouring spouts flanked by two capped posts, resting on sabre form tripod supports, mottled green patina, 7in. (17.8cm.) high. (2) * Condition: Good patina to both. Some wax residue to interiors and rims from use as candle holders. No damage.
A matched Canton famille rose medallion part dinner service, late 19th to mid 20th century, comprising nine 7¼in. plates; four 8in. shallow bowls; eight 5¼in. plates; ten 5in. soup bowls; one 6in. bowl; one lobed quatrefoil tureen, 7½ x 6½in.; one elliptical tureen, 10½ x 8in.; three serving bowls, 9in. 10in. and 10¼in.diameter; twelve 8½in. plates; seven tea cups; five saucers; six coffee cans; a cream jug; a covered sucrier; and a teapot. (70)
Three Kangxi period Chinese blue and white porcelain tea bowls, one of lotus form, the moulded petals each with single flower decoration below a floral panelled rim and inner rim, the interior base with flowers issuing from rockwork, on raised circular foot with single Yu character mark, 2in. (5.1cm.) high; the second of flared form with everted rim, decorated with auspicious emblems above stylised waves, on raised circular foot, peach mark to base, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high; the third smaller, with birds within fruit laden branches, 1¾in. (4.5cm.) high. (3) * Condition: Two in good condition, with no faults. The smallest bowl with some chipping to inside of foot rim.
Early first period Worcester tea bowls, coffee cans and saucers, circa 1780, comprising three tea bowls and four 5in. saucers in the 'Fruit Sprigs' pattern, underglaze blue crescent mark to base, one saucer with decoration in bright cobalt blue; together with a matching coffee can and saucer with underglaze 'S' to base; and two Worcester coffee cans in the 'Prunus Root' pattern, one unmarked, the other with workman's mark. (11) * Condition: All in very good condition. The saucers have some light scratching and wear to glaze to centre of top surface.
A New Hall hard paste famille rose part tea set, 1790-1805, pattern 338 with wheel within a wreath, comprising cream jug (painted no. 338 to base), three tea bowls, four coffee cans and four saucers, together with a pattern 449 cream jug, again with painted no. to base, with floral cartouche decoration. (13) * Condition: Small chip to rim and hairline to base of handle of 338 cream jug. One saucer has 1in hairline to rim and worn decoration, another has a hairline from rim to foot. Other pieces in good condition. Most have kiln dust from manufacturing.
A blue and white platter by Samuel Alcock & Co., 1830s-40s, Pearl pattern, Florentine China mark, impressed letter 'N' to base, 14½ x 11½in. (36.8 x 29.3cm.); together with a pair of Richard Davies & Co. blue and white 'Milanese Villas' pattern bowls, mid-19th century, impressed 'Davies and Co.' to base, 10¼in. (26.75cm.) diameter. (3) * Condition: - Platter: No cracks or chips. Some pale browning to glaze across underside. Two burst bubbles in body beneath rim. - Bowls: Both in good condition, with no defects or restoration.
Four 19th century blue and white transfer ware soup bowls, including examples by Baker, Bevan & Irwin and Riley, also including a 'St Vincent's Rocks' pattern bowl; together with four transfer printed plates. (8) * Condition: Good condition, with exception of:- Bowl with figures including horse beside a river, ruins beyond: Hairline to centre of base. Small chip to underside of rim.- Baker, Bevan & Irwin bowl (castle gate pattern): Chip beneath rim and rim hairline.- Small cattle in landscape pattern bowl: Horizontal hairline around 1/4 of rim/bowl edge.- Castle gate pattern plate: Some glaze flaking from underside (due to damp storage).
Two small Moorcroft bowls, post war, one of shallow concave form with Hibiscus pattern on cobalt blue ground, impressed factory mark and Royal Warrant label to base, 3¾in. (9.5cm.) diameter; together with an Anemone pattern bowl on shaded blue-green ground, Royal Warrant label to base, 3¼in. (8.3cm.) diameter. (2) * Condition: Both in good condition. Label on Hibiscus pattern bowl in poor condition with small hole to centre and damp creasing.
A pair of oversized 19th century wine goblets, the slightly waisted form bowls with comb cut rim above trefoil, raised diamond swag and star pendant cut decoration, on knopped and capstan stems with domed feet with comb cut border, pontils to base, 22.cm. high. (2) * Condition: Good condition, with no damage or restoration.
A Royal Doulton Romane Collection part dinner tea and coffee service, decorated in the Heather pattern, comprising pair of oval tureens and covers, sauce boat on stand, six dinner, dessert, soup and side plates, six fruit bowls, teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl, six cups, saucers and plates, coffee pot, cream jug, sucrier, six coffee cups and saucers, (70).
A Crown Ducal 'Orange tree' tea and coffee service, comprising six coffee cans and corresponding saucers, a coffee pot, two larger cups, five cake plates, a sugar bowl, a cream, two further bowls and a large plate, together with a collection of 19th century glass decanters, including a pair of hand painted jug examples, two onion body examples, and others, together with a further collection of glass ware (parcel) crack to base of the large bowl, all with minor chips, crazed through out, some fading to the orange decoration, would suggest viewing if possible
