Pair of Drawings of Boxing figures, circa 1830, a pair of pencil, pen and wash drawings, one of two men boxing with gloves, the other of a single figure in a boxing stance, 'bare-knuckle', the single figure title in pencil "on the Defence", slight spotting each signed in pen initials to the lower right and lower left respectively, each approximately 360 x 210 mm, mountedQTY: (2)NOTE:Pierce Egan's famous book on boxing, 'Boxiana' was illustrated by George Cruikshank, who was Robert's younger brother and they collaborated on Egan's 'Life in London'. Their styles are similar and difficult to distinguish and not helped by Robert sometimes signing his work 'Cruikshank' in order to pass them off as being by his more celebrated brother.

Boxing, Muhammad Ali information folder complete with fight photograph posters, trading cards and record sheets. This well presented collection is housed in a black folder and is in great condition. It includes fight records from 1960 through to 1981, a printed poem by Muhammad Ali, a full set of 1-50 trading cards from Sporting Profiles collection of The Greatest through the Original Muhammad Ali fan club. Also included is information sheets on one of Alis opponents, Henry Cooper plus his professional record from 1954-1971 and a full set of 1-40 trading cards from Sporting Profiles collection. At the back you will find photographs and posters of the famous fight between Muhammad Ali and Henry Cooper. Muhammad Ali and Henry Cooper fought two boxing matches with each other. Their first match took place on 18 June 1963 (before Ali had changed his name from Cassius Clay) and the second on 21 May 1966. Ali won both matches. The first fight was stopped by the referee in the fifth round, and the second in the sixth round. Both fights were stopped after Cooper started bleeding excessively from a cut to the left eye. The first Ali-Cooper bout is remembered for being one of the four fights in which Ali was officially knocked down in the ring by his boxing opponent, as well as leading to the mandate that ringside handlers always have an extra pair of boxing gloves available.
