Lot 213

A William IV rosewood crossbanded birdseye maple two flap work table. With two short drawers, on turned supports terminating in brass cup castors. 56 cm wide x 33 cm deep x 72 cm overall height. The table is generally in good antique order with the usual minor knocks and marks expected. The tops of the legs have some stringing that is loose and has a very tiny area of damage, and the crossbanding a small section of lifting veneer.

A French late 19th-century amboyna, ebony and gilt brass music stand with an inclining shaped gallery top inlaid with musical trophies within a pierced brass gallery. Fitted a single frieze drawer above open compartments. Supported by realistically cast pied-de biche legs. 50 cm wide x 35 cm x 78 cm overall height. Generally, the stand is in good order with no areas of missing inlay or veneer.I can not get the stay that supports the top to lock in place I think it must be missing something from the fitting, difficult to explain but if you look at the images you will understand.my point.Worth mentioning the ebony isn't really ebony but probably ebonized pearwood/ other fruitwood as is usually the case.The brass legs are screw fitting and so can be tightened and the brass gallery is a little loose and could do with the pins being tapped in a little more,

Charles Frodsham; A Victorian triple fusee 8-day mantle/boardroom clock. With architectural brass strung and inlaid broken arch oak case, the movement with variable eight or four bell quarter chiming and the hours on a coiled gong. The brass dial with applied spandrels and a silvered chapter ring bearing the legend: Charles Frodsham 84 Strand. London 1815 fitted an advance and retard and strike selector to the broken arch. The case is supported by compressed gilt brassbun feet. 39 cm wide x 26 cm deep x 51 cm overall height.Charles Frodsham was recorded as working at 84 Strand, London between 1858-1884The clock bears the serial number 1815 this will place it in the production run between 1880-1895Some damage to the moulding of the case.The movement winds freely on all trainsThe clock will run and chime but this is no guarantee of accuracy or reliability.
