Dimension: Height 13,3 cm ; Wide 7 cm ; Depth 2,5 cm with baseSculpture: 8,7 cm Weight: 359,8 grams with base This bronze sculpture shows an image of PanchmukhiHanuman, from the 15th century A.D.—This multi-armed image of Panchmukhi Hanuman is standing on a black base holding various attributes in his hands. Each head is that of a deity associated with Vishnu and is depicted to be facing a cardinal direction: Hanuman faces the east, Narasimha faces the south, Varaha faces the north, Garuda faces the west, and Hayagriva faces the sky.  Panchmukhi Hanuman can also be spelled as Pancmukhi,Panchamukhi, PancamukhiorPañcamukhīHanumān

Lot 20

Dimensions: Height 44 cm ; Wide 12,5 cm ; Depth 11 cmWeight: 3714 grams buddha on rimmed round base above lotus plinth resting on 4 feet (one broken) the left arm raised to the body holding his wide garment , the right arm showing a mudra. This standing bronze Buddha comes from Pagan, the capital city of an eponymous kingdom that flourished in Myanmar (formerly Burma) between the ninth and thirteenth centuries. Situated along the Irrawaddy River, Pagan was once home to thousands of Buddhist temples, monasteries, and stupas. This sculpture exhibits iconographic and stylistic continuities with roughly coeval portable bronze images cast in southeastern India. Note, for instance, the frilled multi-hem of the Buddha’s gossamer sanghati (monastic robe), which is a common feature of Buddhist processional bronzes from the coastal entrepôt of Nagapattinam. This sculpture thus attests to the robust networks of exchange across the Indian Ocean.

Lot 109

Dimensions: Height 10,7 cm ; Wide 5,6 cm ; Depth 4,8 cmWeight:470,4 grams  This sculpture from Himachal Pradesh from the eightenth century is stylistically comparable to Ganesha's from Kashmir, unsurprising given the proximity of the two regions: the hill-town of Chamba, where many of the most important bronze figures originate, is less than two hundred miles from the Vale of Kashmir. Some stylistic and iconographical characteristics, however, do differentiate between the two regions. Iconographically, bronzes of Himachal Pradesh depict Ganesha seated on the backs of two lions, rather than a rat, which is his more commonly represented vahana, or vehicle. This iconographic choice seems to be limited to Himachal Pradesh and is not generally found in other Indian sculpture.‌The present work is distinguished by the unusual nimbus, which is characterized by a band of circular apertures; in contrast, most bronzes from Himachal display a plain, conjoined nimbus-aureole. Lord Ganesha is one of the most worshipped deities in the Hindu pantheon of gods. He is known as the Lord of Success and Prosperity, and the Remover of Obstacles. Images and sculptures of Lord Ganesha are found in many homes, touted to bring happiness and prosperity into your life.

Lot 31

He is seated on a double-lotus with legs locked.all stones are in place , turquoises , lapis lazuli and semi precious stone. Gilding good with minor wears at the thumb of the right hand as well as the tip of the middle finger. Original vessel in the hand, crown intact , backside of the head has a 2 millimeter small hole. Some rubbing on the left knee and at the lotus base.No silver or copper inlys, no damages or broken parts Bottom of the bronze is sealed with a copper plate and errosions, the plate is hallmarked with a double vajra.
