Lot 23

An antique glass intaglio in a "9c" stamped brooch mount. The greenish-yellow moulded gem features a portrait of the Classical Greek goddess Psyche, the goddess of the soul, as denoted by the butterfly wings in her hair. The mount is yellow precious metal and tests as 9k gold. Gross weight approximately 10.4 grams. Please note there are some small conchoidal fractures to the surface of the intaglio that are visible to the eye.
