There is evidence of general ageing to the paper and minor evidence for foxing (please refer to additional photographs). The paper does not show evidence for rips, tears or folding. The ticket stub has two small tears in either side with some losses and general ageing, no obvious signs for deterioration. The frame is in good condition. Pair of London Transport enamel BUS STOP FLAGS (Compulsory and Request). E6-size, double-sided 'boat'-type flags of the type introduced in the early 1990s with two objectives: firstly to abandon the use of black lettering and secondly to 'purify' the roundel by removing wording from the bar which necessitated the request version to say 'Request Stop' under the roundel, omitting the word 'bus'. The flags were designed to take 'E-stickers' and 30 unused stickers are included. Flags measure 18" x 26" (46cm x 66cm) and are superb examples with only very minor blemishes. [2]

Shortly after the introduction of this type of flag, e-plates were abandoned and subsequent flags were designed to take stickers. Measures 18" x 26" (46cm x 66cm). A superb example in excellent condition with only very minor blemishes. A most uncommon variant. [1]
