An Aquastar Regate Yacht Timer automatic bracelet watch with 10 minute countdown function, 1970s, no. 3120488, with 17 jewel Lemania Cal.1345 movement, sunburst silvered dial with applied baton quarter markers, raised outer minute track with Arabic five minute markers, 10 minute countdown timer with five apertures in arc between 10 and 2 containing blue and orange discs, lumed black pointed baton hands, orange centre chronograph seconds hand, 40mm. brushed and polished tonneau case with screw down back, countdown button at 2, screw down crown, Condor stainless steel bracelet, no box or papers. * Condition: Winds and in running condition when catalogued. Countdown fuction working correctly. Dial VG with a few tiny spots to batons and dull spots to lumed areas. Crystal has some scratches across the surface. Expected scratches to case and bracelet from use, with a few small deeper scratches and three deep nicks to the metal below 6. Clasp functions correctly.
An Edwardian silver mounted playing cards box, Stuart Clifford & Co., London 1909, plain rectangular form with hinged lid and green leather interior and base, the lid with inset celluloid bridged score card and integral trump marker with button to rotate, engraved with name ‘Evelyn’ to front, green ribbon to lift cards, 4 5/8 x 3½in. (11.8 x 9cm.), weight 8.58 tr.oz. * Condition: Very slightly rubbed maker’s marks, small scuff to green leather in interior base, overall very good.
A cased late Georgian or early Victorian 18ct gold, enamel, portrait cameo and half pearl bangle, hallmarked JL, probably John Linnit, London, the finely carved oval pink and ivory shell cameo depicting a portrait of a flower maiden, with a cobalt blue enamelled border, within a tubular frame with conforming enamelled mounts set with half pearls, on a hinged, reeded bangle, internal diameter 5.6cm., faults, in the original morocco case.* Condition: Losses to enamel to foliate mount on right side of the bangle. Small chip to enamel to the opposing side and two very small chips to the enamel to the crown shaped mounts above and below the cameo. Several small dents and a small split to the gold to the inside of the main hinged section of the bangle and evidence of old repairs to this area, probably including some sections of gold which have been let-in to repair creases/splits. Case is faded and dry and is missing the button to open at the front. Some damage to silk lining inside lid due to contact with the cameo.
An extremely rare and unusual Victorian novelty cast silver scent atomiser in the form of an excited terrier dog, William Leuchars, London, 1880, the dog sitting up on his haunches in an appealing begging pose, amber / red glass eyes, textured fur decoration, circular screw-off base, engraved “LEUCHARS & SONS”, the head having a button at the back, which when depressed repeatedly, sprays scent, most imaginatively through the act of micturation (or peeing), 2.68 in. (6.8cm.) high, weight 3.07 tr.oz. * Condition: Very good condition, no faults, nothing to note.
A rare Victorian silver-gilt mounted faceted emerald glass novelty combination scent bottle and vinaigrette, Sampson Mordan & Co, London, 1870, full and part hallmarks in several places, push button sprung hinged cap with fancy inscribed initials, opening to reveal pressure cap with crown emblem and ‘S. MORDAN & CO LONDON' to perimeter, cover to base enclosing a foliate pierced grille to vinaigrette with original sponge, 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) high. * Condition: Cap with bent / fold to rim, some hallmarks very slightly rubbed, overall good.

POIGNANT DIARY & MEDAL GROUP AWARDED TO PRIVATE JOHN JOHNSTONE ALEXANDER BULLOCK, CAMERONIANS WWII army no. 14758599, the medals comprising the War Medal, the 1939-45 Star, and the France & Germany Star, the diary from January 1st-15th February 1945, with him dying a week later on the 23rd February of his wounds, aged 19, along with his service book, a photograph of him, eight photographs of his grave, his glengarry, his father's button polisher inscribed J. BULLOCH (this WWI period, his father having served from 1918 and survived the war), newspaper cuttings, a letter from the family who agreed to tend his grave after he was reburried in 1947, further letter from this family, his church in Coatbridge for where he was organist, contained in a burr walnut caseNote: Bullock enlisted aged 18 on the 4/5/1944. His diary tracks his first posting, 1st entry 1st Jan 1945: Think that we are leaving Langholm at last. Final preparations. Received parcel from mother also card. Parade 8PM. Arrived Carlisle 11PM. Phone home for last time.; there are then daily entries until 8th February: Into Battle; with X for the next six days until 15th February: Shrapnel wound in head at 9:30 AM. Heavily wounded and Sey. and Bill killed. Not serious, but very lucky to be alive. Syd[?] and I sent back. Glad to be out.; he would die one week later on the 23rd April. His Notification of Death noting ...died of wounds in Western Europe... while serving with the Allied Expeditionarly Force.
