Good very fine with old cabinet toning, very rare £2,000-£3,000 --- This is one of the earliest Hiberno-Norse coins, copying an English type which was struck between c. 991-7. It is thought that the Irish imitations were introduced at Dublin within a few years, during the last five years of the century. This type is found in the Clondalkin (Co. Dublin) Hoard and Igelösa Hoard from Sweden, buried c. 1000, amongst others
