A Leica IIIB Camera No. 336360, with 5cm lens serial no. 505393, fast windThe camera presents in fair overall condition showing significant wear commensurate with age and heavy use, many items are being 'brassed' throughout much of the external finish. The leatherette covering to the body is cracked and split at the front to the top right hand side. There are some scuff marks to the top case looking at the front left hand side, likewise some corrosion to the front knurled knob. The speed wind again is functional but we cannot warrant the accuracy, likewise the camera cox and shutters fires but we cannot warrant the overall condition of the cloth shutter. the lens has some external corrosion, the finish is relatively poor, however the optic looks in reasonable condition but it cannot be guaranteed that the lens is in working order. The lens cap whilst possibly original is Leica is present. The range finder does not function correctly, it is very faint and it cannot be read with any degree of accuracy. Overall a well-worn but complete example. The item should be considered in need of CLA.
