A Japanese lacquer postcard album - 1920s-30s, the black lacquer cover decorated with a handpainted lake landscape with temples and boat, Mount Fuji distant, within keywork borders and gilt floral spandrels, the interior and pages decorated with watercolours on silk with birds, flowers and landscapes, containing a collection of hand coloured postcards with landscape views and temples of Japan, 35.5 x 26.75 cm. * Condition: Horizontal split across the lower front cover and another to the back cover. Some wear to gilt and some wear and chipping to the lacquer to the edges. The spine has come away from the inside pages. Some foxing and water staining to the silk pastedowns and pages, which has affected some of the cards in places.
