The reverse with handwritten account of the anniversary talk by Iyumani, together with an album of cabinet photos, signatures letters and cards pertaining to characters and participants in the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879. A Napoleonic prisoner of war games box, decorated with glazed watercolour panels depicting people, palaces, and vases of flowers, the sliding lid opening to reveal miniature bone playing cards and a set of 'double nine' dominos, bone, with a lable beneath 'Made by the French prisoners imprisoned in Edinburgh Castle during the Napoleonic War', 27cm wide x 11cm deep x 9 cm high Loss to the end of the lid, one finial detached but present, further marks and minor damages due to age and use. The 7 hearts, king of diamonds, 3 of clubs and 3 of spades missing and the double blank domino also missing.
