A gilt brass strut clock, in the style of Thomas Cole, late 19th/early 20th century, the rectangular floral engraved silvered dial with blued steel fleur-de-lys hands, numbered 505, rectangular scrolling floral engraved case, surmounted by an undulating pierced crest and suspension loop, the plain back with easel strut and winding hatch door for a Swiss eight day movement, lacking the turnbuckle foot, 13 x 10 x 2.5cm. Cole started numbering all of his clocks at 500 in about 1846/47 and ended at about 1900 in 1864.
