This portfolio of six splendid original black & white and color photographs on paper was shot in 1985 by Colombian Neorealist Fernell Franco. It includes two black and white close-ups of the Municipal Theater in Cali shot in a atmospheric chiaroscuro technique and four photographs with colors seemingly applied by hand, connecting the arts of painting and photography. Franco's 2016 retrospective at the Fondation Cartier in Paris sealed his reputation as the most important figure in contemporary photography in Colombia and one of Latin America's greatest pioneer of artistic urban photography. Cartier founded their first London store in 1902 in 4 New Burlington Street. Only three years later they moved to where the store remains today at 175-177 New Bond Street. The top floors of the building were used for their workshops where they trained English jewellers and watchmakers in the Cartier style and aesthetic. From 1920 to 1966, Cartier London sold wristwatches using movements from companies, such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet and Jaeger-LeCoultre. The London workshops went on to produce its own line of wristwatches in the 1960’s. A pair of Cartier gold-tone glasses, with wooden temples, the bridge marked "Cartier 49 20", the temples numbered 130b Condition Report:There is no paperwork or original packaging included with these glasses. They are housed in a black plastic protective case. Their overall condition is very good. The hook of the right temple has some chips to the surface. Minor wear to the tip of the left temple.
