A good mid 19th Century carved walnut quarter chiming bracket clock with trip repeat and original wall bracketPenlington and Hutton, Liverpool,the case with rippled upper section and applied carved fruit over straight sides terminating in a pair of scrolls on a multi-stepped base and block feet, the shaped silvered dial with Roman numerals and plain minute track framed by foliate scrolls with a strike/silent subsidiary dial above, the substantial triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement striking the hours on a coiled blued steel gong and chiming the quarters on a run of eight graduated bells, (repeating the hours and the quarters on pulling a cord to the left hand side of the case).
