A rare Einco Master Teddy with provenance, with blonde mohair, white, blue and black googly eyes, head seams forming a cross at the centre of the face and back of head, remains of black stitched nose, mouth and tongue, cloth body, mohair hands and feet -7½in. (19cm.) high (very worn and redressed) - the Eisenmann & Co. Master Teddy was made by their soft toy manufacturing branch of the business, Chiltern Toys; it is believed that they were made by other firms too, as Eisenmann was a wholesaler and retailer; this characterful chap was the childhood toy of Phyllis Marjorie Warr, who was born in 1920 in Leamington Spa and comes with two original photographs, one of Phyllis as a baby with her parents and the other as young girl
