A Chinese 'Batavian' Porcelain Tea/Punch Pot and Cover, 18th Century, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze enamels with figures and flowering plants within reserve panels, 8ins (20.3cm) highCondition ReportCover - two small flat chips to the base of the inner flange. Evidence in a raking light of gilt (?) decoration, now worn away. Body - body appears to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration. There is a firing crack around the inner foot ring, measuring approximately 4.5cm. Again there is evidence of missing gilt detail - scrolling tendrils and leaves - to the body.

A group of Chinese porcelain items, comprising a porcelain baluster vase, circa 1900, decorated with flowers and birds, two bands of dark blue and gilt to foot, and one similar band to neck, 9 by 16cm high, a turquoise glaze bowl with red printed mark to base, circa 1940, 11.2 by 5.5cm high, an 18th century iron red decorated bowl, a/f cracked, 16 by 4cm high, and a 19th century Japanese Imari dish, 17.3 by 3cm high. One shallow chip to rim otherwise in good condition with no further chips or cracks. No signs of repair.Provenance: From a local estate. Property of Navy Commander Henry W Jennings R.N. who was stationed in Sasebo Japan between 1946-48. Retired in 1960's and thence by descent.

A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN MEIPING BUTTERFLY VASES. Each decorated with a cracked ice pattern with butterflies and floral motifs. Each with apocryphal six-character marks of Kangxi to base. 30.5cm and 32cm tall. (2)The taller vase with faint hairline to middle of base. Smaller tankard with slight chip to interior rim and crack around bottom part of handle. Larger jug with crack repair to handle and hairline to rim. Smaller jug with glaze loss to handle and long hairline to body.

Vase in good general condition with no signs of major damage or repair, slight nicks to surface of gilt.

(2)One pot with repaired corners of rim with overpaint to repaired areas, each measuring around 25mm x 25mm. The other is in good overall condition. Both with general expected wear from age and use.

A FINE CHINESE SONG DYNASTY QINGBAI PORCELAIN DISH IN KILN SAGGAR. The kiln saggar containing a fine quality porcelain dish coated in a translucent Qingbai glaze of a delicate pale blue. The glaze around the dish fusing it to the inner wall of the saggar. Thick layers of ash glaze accumulated to the outer wall of the saggar. Diameter 17cm. Northern Song Dynasty (AD 960 – 1127).Provenance: from the collection of the late Brian Page (1938-2018), the well-known Oriental art and antiques dealer from Brighton.
