An early 20th century Chinese rectangular wooden box with mother of pearl inlay, the lid decorated with an elder beneath a pine tree, and aside a pagoda, width 14.5cm, containing three decorative carved pendants, a scoop, and a knife rest, also a Chinese lacquered and mother of pearl inlaid square panel, diameter 20cm.
Two early 20th century Chinese carved cinnabar lacquer type boxes, each decorated with figures beneath a pine tree to the lid, width 9.5cm and 10.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Smaller box: some losses to inside rim of lid and flange of base. Some repainting to base rim edges. Larger: 3 cracks to side of lid. Loss to side of lid too. Cracks to base and losses to flange.
A 1920s Chinese five piece travelling dressing table set comprising jadeite handled cast metal backed hand mirror and hand brush, circular powder box and cover, and an oval clothes brush, each decorated to the back with Shoulou and a deer with a lingzhi fungus in its mouth and turquoise set studs, and a comb decorated in a similar manner, all in fitted embroidered case.
An early 20th century Chinese cloisonné circular box and cover decorated throughout with butterflies amongst chrysanthemum sprays, unmarked, diameter 15.5cm and two decorative Chinese trinket boxes, each modelled as the head of a deity (3). CONDITION REPORT: Cloisonné box has to the lid where is starts to curve down a 1cm x 1cm area of damage, difficult to spot but it does affect the appeal of the piece, otherwise in lovely condition.
A pair of c.1900 Chinese silk embroidered pictures, one depicting two peacocks on a blossoming branch, the other depicting a bird on a blossoming branch, each within a finely embroidered border depicting various flowers, auspicious objects, and a bat, 37 x 50cm. CONDITION REPORT: Peacock picture: there is some tearing at the very top of the picture just above the bat, there is also a hole and a tear in the top right of the picture, a few further scuffed ends, and it seems to have been faded as well. The other picture: fading again, but in slightly better condition than the previous.
An early 20th century Chinese silk embroidered rectangular panel decorated with butterflies amongst chrysanthemum sprays, 23 x 33cm and Mughal school; painting on paper depicting female figures in a garden, 22 x 13.5cm and a Japanese watercolour depicting two carp, signed lower right, 22 x 22cm, all framed and glazed (3).
A mixed lot of silver comprising a Victorian hallmarked silver rectangular tray embossed with floral scrolls, Birmingham 1898, a twin handled small trophy, an oval mustard and cover, a pair of cruets, a Chinese tot cup (af), a napkin ring and an egg cup, approx 19.5ozt, also a pair of Indian white metal small goblets, a similar napkin ring and oval tray with pierced decoration.
