Lot 283

The 2002 Motor Show Car, first registered to TVR Ltd and then Chairman Peter Wheeler. A remarkable modern classic from the end of British sports car history. One of the rarest TVRs ever produced and perhaps the last modern sports car to be launched in such a uniquely British way. Understood to be the first of two 2002 Motor Show cars commissioned by TVR chairman Peter Wheeler and featured in that year’s Top Gear British Motor Show Special presented by Suzie Perry. The factory build-sheet confirms that the car was built for the Motor Show and Peter Wheeler’s name is written on the underside of the interior trim, found when the car was later re-trimmed by our vendor. Named for its 3.5-litre petrol engine, the 350 C was produced in limited numbers when compared to more mainstream production sportscars, yet kept the Blackpool workshops pretty busy with 390 examples built. This car is even more special as it was factory-fitted with a speed-six 4-litre engine and was the car used as a Press Car, still badged as a 350C. Owned by TVR Engineering for the first three years, the car was subsequently purchased by a dealer and our vendor is the third private keeper. The excellent service history is complemented by a documented engine rebuild at 56,000 miles and the car has been subtly upgraded with ceramic coated manifolds, Sagaris brakes, Bilstein 'S' shock absorbers from the Tuscan and T350 Eibach springs all round.A unique car that differs in features and power from later production cars, this car’s provenance is fascinating and it's presented to auction with a cherished registration number, a huge history file and its Swansea V5C. This rare TVR had covered 82,000 miles at the time of cataloguing and the MOT is valid until August 2024.Specification Make: TVR Model: 350C Year: 2003 Chassis Number: SDLFB17A52B001596 Registration Number: T3 VOC Transmission: Manual Engine Number: P6403016 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 82000 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Dark Blue LeatherClick here for more details and images

This FIA-spec 3.5-litre 'Batmobile' enjoys rock-star provenance and is eligible for some of the best historic motorsport in the world (including the Le Mans Classic). This particular car was converted from a 3.0 CS (E9) road car in the late 1980s by saloon racer, the late Tim Busby, and accumulated many excellent race results over the following 35 years on race tracks all over the world. In 2004, it was sold to Iconic Auctioneers owner, Nick Whale, and co-owned by Nick's best mate, Ian Guest. The pair campaigned the car in Patrick Peter's Classic Endurance Racing series 'CER' throughout Europe, including twice at Classic Le Mans in 2004 and 2006 where it won its 'Plateau' on both occasions. It also won the coveted Index of Performance award at the 2006 Classic Le Mans, as well as further class wins at Monza, Silverstone and Spa.It was then sold to Alan Tice who successfully campaigned the car for two or three seasons in the Masters Series, before changing hands again in 2013 to rock legend, Jason Kay of Jamiroquai. During Jay's ownership, a lot of money was invested in the car's mechanicals and Jay enjoyed a track day at Silverstone during his ownership. In 2017, Jason asked Iconic Auctioneers to auction the Batmobile at the Race Retro auction, when it was purchased by the current owner who then entrusted marque specialists, Laranca Engineering, with preparing the car for a return to the European racing scene. Six figures-plus were invested with Laranca going through the car fully to bring it up to the more strenuous modern standards of historic motorsport. FIA papers were then issued (GB11382) and remain valid until 31st December 2027.Under current ownership, the 'Batmobile' has raced successfully in various Peter Auto events across Europe. The car was invited to a recent Le Mans Classic but sadly our vendor couldn’t attend as he now lives in South America, which is the reason for a reluctant sale. The last mechanical refresh came in early 2021, but the car has not been raced since so the Batmobile is now available for it’s next lucky owner.  Offering access into some of the best Historic Motorsport in the world, including the legendary Le Mans Classic, this fabulous race car is being offered at a seriously tempting guide price when you consider what it would cost to replicate, the asking price for similar cars and its proven 35 years-plus race record. Please get in touch with Harry Whale to find out more technical information about the car, including dyno sheet etc.Specification Make: BMW Model: 3.5 CSL Year: 1973 Chassis Number: 2331066 Registration Number: N/A Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Make: LHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 201

BMM 917A is a previous RAC, Coupe des Alpes and Spa-Sofia-Liege rally entrant, restored by an enthusiast over recent years into fast-road spec. The 1,071cc Cooper S was the first Cooper S produced by BMC and the first of the Minis to succeed at the Monte Carlo Rally. Visits to the winners' circle became a regular event as the Mini chalked up numerous international race wins - including three at the prestigious Monte Carlo rally from 1964 to 1967. The definitive 'Giant Killer', only 4,000 or so 1,071cc-engined Mini Cooper S cars were made between April 1963 and August 1964.The car presented here started life as an early OEW/black 1963 Morris Mini Cooper 1071 S, which was built and first registered in May 1963 (according to its accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, number 92/784). It caught the eye of a young John Wadsworth (1937 – 2021) who went on to become a BMC Works Team driver and, although the car was despatched to Loxhams of Blackburn, it was registered in Middlesex, as John wanted one of the then new style, suffix registration numbers. John’s father was a customer of the Chequered Flag Garage in London and arranged for them to register the car as  BMM 917A in late May 1963.John and BMM’s first major outing was on the 1963 Coupe des Alps, as car #57 (see website), where they finished in ninth place and second in class, winning a coveted Coupe. The Spa-Sofia-Liege followed as car #32 (see website), on which they retired and also graced the RAC Rally as car #61 (see image of it on the start ramp in Blackpool).Nothing is known, at the time of cataloguing, of BMM’s history after this time, before it was bought by our vendor’s father in June 1993 as a retirement project. He was an avid Mini enthusiast and over the following years, he set about restoring the car, utilising a later shell. The car was painstakingly worked on and finally finished, however not long after, the owner was taken ill before sadly passing away in February 2024. The family now wish for the car to be sold, and below is the information that they have been able to glean from handwritten notes left in the workshop:Bodyshell - Professionally restored and resprayed in red with a white roof, 'Works' alloy doors, fibreglass boot lid.Engine/drivetrain: 1,275cc engine bored out to 1,293cc (fully balanced), Longman big valve head, 11:1 compression ratio (not unleaded), 649 full-race camshaft, duplex chain, Weber carburettor, double SU fuel pumps, oil cooler, Aldon distributor, lightened flywheel, high performance radiator, LCB manifold and RC40 exhaust; straight-cut gearbox, competition clutch, Salisbury LSD/Hardy Spicer couplingsSuspension/wheels: 1.5-degree negative camber bottom arms, adjustable shock absorbers, 7.5" front brake discs and rear Minifin drums, powder-coated Cooper S reverse rim wheelsOther: Top-tint laminated windscreen, 120mph speedometer, classic bucket seats and full harnesses; twin fuel tanks, leather bonnet strapThe family are also keen to state, 'Even though the car is classed as an historic vehicle, it was still presented for MOTs between 2013 and 2018; in that time, it always passed with 'No Advisories', covering just 465 miles. Since the last MOT, it has covered just ten miles before being laid up. The car has not moved since then (due to the owner's ill health) and has been stored in a dry garage.'Specification Make: MORRIS Model: MINI COOPER S 1275 Year: 1963 Chassis Number: KA254384633 Registration Number: BMM 917A Transmission: Manaul Engine Number: 9F-SA-H/19306 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Lot 257

Supplied new to British actor, Robin Ellis, this outstanding Interceptor II has been beautifully restored with absolute attention to detail and will continue to turn heads for another 50 years. Jensen's C-V8 replacement debuted in 1966, reviving a name first employed in the 1950s. However, several of the firm's traditions were broken in that the design was outsourced to Carrozzeria Touring and the bodies made of steel, not fibreglass. Early shells were built in Italy by Vignale prior to production being established at Jensen's Kelvin Way plant in West Bromwich. Power came from a 6,276cc (383ci) Chrysler V8, driving through either a 4-speed manual or 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission to an LSD Salisbury rear axle. Specification included electric windows, reclining seats, wood-rim steering wheel, radio with twin speakers, electric clock and reversing lights. Production of the Interceptor II (occasionally called the MkII or Series II) commenced in October 1969 and lasted for two years. This particular car has a chassis prefix, #123, so was one of 694 right-hand drive UK-cars powered by the E-Series 383ci V8 generating around 330bhp. It was first registered in the spring of 1970 and supplied new to British actor, Robin Ellis, best known for playing the leading role in the BBC series, Poldark, based on the novels of Winston Graham. Purchased for just under £8,000 or the equivalent of £150,000 in todays money, the Jensen was a serious car for special customers.Several enthusiastic owners enjoyed the Jensen over the years until 2015 when the decision was made to completely restore it. The car's condition today is testament to the outstanding workmanship of the specialist team commissioned to complete the restoration and we understand that this glorious, long-legged GT performs as well as it looks. The provenance and history of the Jensen is supported by a large history file containing the factory pre-sale inspection documents and paperwork which confirms that its first owner, Robin Adair Ellis, took delivery of the car on 6th May 1970. Also within the file is a detailed account of the restoration with supporting documentation, the current V5C ready for transfer or export, old MOT Certificates, the Heritage Certificate and a wealth of invoices for care and maintenance over the years, with the most recent service carried out in January 2023.The car was purchased by our vendor last year and fitted with a new power steering set up. The intention was to commission Jensen International Automotive to upgrade the car with their full Corvette engine and running gear conversion, at a cost of some £200,000, however, having viewed and subsequently purchased one of the early Corvette-engined, upgraded JIA cars from us in November 2023, he thoroughly enjoys the car and plans to keep it, making this car surplus to his requirements.Finished in a lovely shade of very pale grey, the Jensen continues to attract all the right attention and as a well restored and very well-maintained example, should only require basic maintenance. A rare blend of Italian styling, an American engine and British craftsmanship, these big GTs are comfortable and relatively practical with rear seats and a decent boot. It's a beautiful British classic that will undoubtedly be the talking point at any classic car show or event  and would be welcome anywhere.Specification Make: JENSEN Model: INTERCEPTOR II Year: 1970 Chassis Number: 1233736 Registration Number: SUX 879H Transmission: Automatic Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: BlackClick here for more details and images

Stylish 1950s top-down motoring offering more power, comfort and value compared to its European contemporaries. A nicely mellowed, older restoration from eight years of UK-ownership. Long before the Cadillac became known as the softly sprung, luxuriously appointed land yacht we recognise from the 1960s and 1970s, it had fought a fierce battle to be considered a serious sports car among its American contemporaries during the late 1940s. The few pre-war designed European sportscars that found their way Stateside barely tempted the domestic market who adored the swooping, if rather rotund, flanks, the acres of chrome, refinements like electric windows and all powered by a gruffling V8. They made European sports cars seem somewhat flimsy and it must have been therefore a bewildering sight to see Briggs Cunningham at the wheel of a new, outwardly standard 1950 Cadillac Coupe alongside the Ferraris, Aston Martins and Jaguars on the grid of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Finishing tenth overall, the Cadillac averaged 81.5mph for the entire 24-hour event with top speeds of around 120mph achieved on the Mulsanne Straight.Domestically, 1950 was a significant year for Cadillac too, as they finally surpassed Packard in sales and would go on to dominate the American luxury market for several generations. Along with styling, elegance, and luxury, the performance aspect of Cadillac was taken to new heights with the launch of the 62 Series and these models are regarded as the most typical examples of 1950s styling with swooping lines and acres of chrome. Naturally, a luxuriously appointed convertible was the car of choice for the successful and remains the indelible image of the era’s 'American Dream'.Built in 1952, this fabulous Cadillac was restored before arriving in the UK and subsequently registered here on 1st September 2013 to the first of just two keepers. The 1952 cars were powered by an all-new 331ci (5.4-litres) OHV V8 featuring wedge-shaped combustion chambers, 'slipper' pistons and hydraulic valve lifters, and now offered a respectable 160bhp. Well presented in ivory with a glorious bright red interior, it has been well maintained by our vendor since his purchase in 2016 as the invoices on file testify. Offered from the eclectic collection of our well-regarded vendor, an auction regular of many years standing who is downsizing due to advancing years, it's accompanied by the aforementioned maintenance receipts and Swansea V5C.This third-generation Series 62 Cadillac is a piece of classic Americana and we think that it's a seriously tempting proposition given the realistic guide price and sheer scale of this impressive American icon.Specification Make: CADILLAC Model: CONVERTIBLE Year: 1952 Chassis Number: 526282784 Registration Number: 849 YUX Transmission: Automatic Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Make: Only LHD Interior Colour: Red Click here for more details and images

**Please note for clarity the car has an ‘untouched underside’ and no restoration work has been done since its import. It retains its original GT-R mats and most of the standard original parts will be in the boot/included in the sale. The Rays wheels were on the car upon purchase and in our vendors ownership, all work has been undertaken by J A Kit and Customs with the exception of MOTs.** Simply put, this R34 is JDM royalty. Possibly the most iconic car from the modern classic era, immortalised in film franchises and rightfully adored by all. With mechanical upgrades and JDM goodies galore, this R34 is running c.550bhp, yet looks undeniably OEM+. Offered directly from ‘The Well Timed' Collection. The Skyline R34 GT-R is highly revered by all, whether a JDM aficionado or not, one cannot deny their presence and popularity in the car world. Standing as arguably the most iconic Japanese performance car in history. Whilst many of the PlayStation generation may have first experienced the drama of the R34 GT-R V-Spec through Gran Turismo, it was its appearance in the Fast and Furious franchise that led to an explosion in global popularity for the R34 GT-R, with the late Paul Walker driving one in 2 Fast 2 Furious, enhancing its almost cult status. But it was in the 'real' world where the R34 GT-R V-Spec would cement its reputation. Described by Evo magazine as 'A warrior-class performer' in its 2007 road test, where a standard R34 GT-R was pitted against the likes of the McLaren F1, Pagani Zonda, Ferrari F40 and Bugatti Veyron, the GT-R’s reputation as a class act remained intact. While the R34 may not be able to claim the original 'Godzilla' title, as that remains with the R32 GT-R, the newcomer certainly carried the torch, and arguably the R34 GT-R has become the most iconic and most recognised car ever to emerge from Japan, especially in their late 1990s golden era. The R33 GT-R was a very good car, but many found it to be too bulky in design and too heavy to be a worthy successor to the R32 GT-R, which the R34 sought to rectify and did so with flying colours. Released with a shorter, sharper design and the performance to match, it’s safe to say the bite truly matches the bark. The car featured aggressive new styling, a stiffer bodyshell and a reworked version of the bulletproof and highly modifiable RB26DETT twin-turbo inline-six under the bonnet, mated to an all-new Getrag 6-speed gearbox and transfer case, although the electronically-controlled Super HICAS rear-wheel steering system was retained. Unlike some other performance cars of the 1990s, Nissan did not neglect the braking system and fitted Brembo brakes with 300mm vented discs. For a car released in 1999, the R34 came crammed full of technology meaning it was well ahead of its time. It featured a 5.8" LCD multifunction display in the dashboard, showing seven different live readings of engine and vehicle statistics such as boost pressure, oil/water temperature and throttle percentage among others. The V-Spec was introduced in October 1999, just nine months after the launch of the R34 Series I, making it an almost immediate upgrade over the standard car. While the Series I was a fantastic car, the improvements were thorough and ensured the V-Spec and V-Spec II cars are even more desirable. Changes for the V-Spec included an improved suspension system, featuring stiffer springs and dampers, Brembo brakes as standard, lighter forged aluminium wheels allowing wider tires, an active Limited Slip Differential and an improved aero package with a front lip spoiler and carbon fibre rear wing.Arguably the black sheep of 'The Well Timed' Collection, this R34 is simply phenomenal. Of the 11,578 R34 GT-Rs produced, just 1,238 of them were Bayside Blue (TV2) V-Spec Is, and this is surely one of the finest examples to reach the open market. This R34 GT-R V-Spec I presents in simply exceptional condition and has been maintained religiously throughout its eight-year UK ownership. Within the history file there is every MOT since its 2015 import and a whole host of Japanese paperwork including the original service pack, featuring an abundance of rarely kept Japanese maintenance paperwork, original Skyline instruction manual and three sets of keys. Additionally, there is paperwork documenting its upgrades whilst in Japan including the ¥915,000 (c.£5,000) sheet of fitted JDM upgrades including HKS, NISMO and Apexi parts amongst others, as well as their accompanying sales sheets. The bulk of the UK servicing has been undertaken by J A Kit & Customs, as well as by our enthusiast vendor. Our vendor wanted the car to be the best of the best, whilst retaining OEM/OEM+ aesthetics and fitted a host of upgrades including bronze Rays CE28 wheels, electronically adjustable Tein coil-over suspension, NISMO sway bars, an HKS turbo timer, new turbos, a Link G4 ECU and a host of undetectable mechanical upgrades (summary sheet provided in history file), which allowed marque specialist tuner, Martin Battye, to extract well over 500bhp from the wonderful RB26.With the way that R34 GT-R prices have skyrocketed comfortably into the six-figure department in recent years, this cherished, uprated, Bayside Blue example is surely the last chance to acquire such a desirable car for reasonable money, especially considering the 25-year import rule has now legalised the import of this car into the USA.Sympathetically upgraded to OEM+ specification, this GT-R looks, drives and is exactly what you’d wish a GT-R to be. They say don’t meet your heroes, but if you’re going to, you’d struggle to find a better R34 GT-R hero than this one, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.SpecificationMake: NISSANModel: SKYLINE R34 GT-R V-SPEC IYear: 1999Chassis Number: BNR34004637Registration Number: T84 GTRTransmission: ManualEngine Number: RB26-DETTDrive Side: Right-hand DriveOdometer Reading: 92000 KMMake: RHDInterior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images

Lot 213

Extremely well specified, finished in its original paintwork of Techno Violet over the amazingly rare factory-optioned Anthracite Alcantara M-Cross + Amaretta Vader interior, just 60,000 miles with its two owners and a full BMW service history from new.  At the Paris Motor Show in 1992, BMW introduced the successor to the widely adored E30 M3 with the E36 M3. The second incarnation of the model was a different animal to the original 1980's E30, replacing the four-cylinder with a straight-six, sleeker styling, modernised and a more refined demeanour. At the time, the Motorsport Division's new take on the iconic M3 was to utilise the standard M50TU engine (used in other E36s and earlier E34s), however there were numerous upgrades over the standard M50 including individual throttle bodies, continuously variable 'Vanos' valve timing, dual-mass flywheel, lightweight pistons, graphite-coated connecting rods, larger inlet valves and redesigned equal-length exhaust manifolds.Things continued to improve with the expansion of the range in 1994 with the arrival of the second generation E36 M3 Evolution cars powered by the new S52B32, a 3.2-litre straight-six with the compression ratio raised to 11.3:1, significantly upping the power output from 282bhp to 321bhp at 7,400rpm, mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a sequential DSG transmission. Other changes included a new Cornering Brake Control system and staggered 17" wheels, with meatier 225/45 ZR17 fronts and 245/40 ZR17 rear tyres. The E36 M3 Evolution was and still is regarded as one of the best sports cars of the 1990s and was awarded Best-Handling Car by Car and Driver magazine in 1997. BMW’s E36 M3 Evolution was destined to become a classic from the start but, although unfairly overlooked in recent years, its time will come. This stunning 1998 E36 M3 Evolution is arguably the best specified example we have ever seen, making it quite possibly the ultimate E36 M3 Evolution. A late car, first registered in October 1998, it's finished in the rare Techno Violet paintwork with the very, very rare Anthracite Alcantara M-Cross + Amaretta interior optioned from new and is fitted with a strong selection of optional extras.Becoming increasingly popular and difficult to source in excellent condition, this E36 M3 Evolution offers a rare opportunity to own an example that has covered a warranted 60,200 miles in the hands of its two owners from new. Having formed part of a private Collection of modern classics, the car has a history file that is as exemplary as its aesthetics. With 12 main dealer services and three additional BMW specialist services, it is safe to say that the car has been cossetted all its life and needs nothing. Our vendor is a true perfectionist and had the car inspected and detailed by a trusted detailer who has confirmed that (with the exception of the front bumper) the paintwork is all original, increasingly hard to find. There are a few minor stone chips present on the bonnet, but nothing more than what is to be expected. With so many of these E36 M3s being turned into track cars, race cars or simply not maintained, it is heartening to see such a wonderfully specified, original example in such outstanding condition. Criminally underrated, with values steadily on the rise, these E36 M3s truly warrant their time in the sun.Specification Make: BMW Model: E36 M3 EVOLUTION Year: 1998 Chassis Number: WBSBG92000EA90755 Registration Number: 44 MXW Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 60031851 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 60200 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Grey AlcantaraClick here for more details and images

Lot 246

And still we find them - one registered lady owner from new and just 14,975 miles, remarkable. Built at Subaru's Fuji Heavy Industries plant in Japan and honed by rally 'royalty', Prodrive, the Impreza P1 was always destined to become the hugely desirable modern classic that we rightfully see it as today. Built in a limited run of 1,000 examples, all were painted in Sonic Blue and using the WRX STi Type R as a base, Prodrive engineers installed the anti-roll bars from the European-specification Impreza Turbo, along with firmer springs and shock absorbers, to deliver a suspension set up better suited to continental roads. They were powered by a revised version of the rally engine with re-calibrated electronics and developing no less than 280bhp, 69bhp more than the standard Impreza Turbo. The cars also featured ABS, as well as the Peter Stevens-designed anthracite OZ Racing wheels, front spoiler and rear wing.On offer here is a very exciting and perhaps unrepeatable find. This P1 is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive example sold new by Keith Price Garages Ltd of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire in March 2001 to its one and only registered keeper, a lady who lived locally. It was enjoyed sparingly with less and less use as the years went on and as a result, the odometer read just 14,975 miles at the time of cataloguing. She kept the car for 22 years until it then came into the possession of our vendor, who enjoys a significant private Collection. He has not registered or used the car under his ownership and a change in direction for the Collection means that the P1 is now available for its next lucky owner. The history file includes the car's V5C (showing no former keepers), the dealer book pack with additional P1 literature, the service book with three stamps, some Tracker correspondence and a number of old MOTs. The car presents as you would expect for such low mileage and the original radio is included with the car. So rare is it to find such a low ownership/low mileage example that Octane magazine carried out an in-depth feature on the car, in their May 2023 edition. It's hard to find an Impreza P1 in today’s market, regardless of condition, so to find one in this condition with this provenance is almost in the realms of mythology. With soaring prices of Japanese Domestic Market cars, and 22Bs heading well north of £100,000 in recent years, this P1 may well be an unrepeatable opportunity, and is perfect for any discerning collector, enthusiast or purist.Specification Make: SUBARU Model: IMPREZA Year: 2001 Chassis Number: JF1GM8KDGYG003407 Registration Number: Y131 GHB Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 888492 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 14986 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

An ex-Ford Motor Company Press Car in Moonstone Blue with a grey cloth Recaro interior in all round excellent condition. In 1988, Ford introduced the four-door Sapphire Cosworth, a family saloon which was, perhaps, a little more discreet than its be-spoilered sibling. As the name suggests, it was based on the Sapphire saloon and used the existing 1,993cc Cosworth twin-cam turbo.A couple of years later, in January 1990, the third-generation Sierra RS Cosworth was launched, this time with four-wheel drive. As early as 1987, Mike Moreton and Ford Motorsport had been talking about a four-wheel drive Sierra RS Cosworth that could make Ford competitive in the World Rally Championship. Ford Motorsport's desire for a three-door 'Motorsport Special' equivalent to the original Sierra RS Cosworth was not embraced however, as it was felt that the more discreet, family-friendly four-door version was considered to have a better marketing potential. Consequently, it was decided that the new car should be a natural development of the second-generation cars and would be launched in conjunction with the facelift scheduled for the entire Sierra range in 1990. They were now powered by the 220bhp Cosworth YBG/YBJ mated to the Ferguson 4x4 MT75 transmission and 0-60mph took just 5.6 seconds, pretty impressive for a family saloon. On offer here is a UK-supplied, right-hand drive Sapphire Cosworth that was used by the Ford Motor Company as a press car, featuring in many marketing materials as you can see in the images one our website. First registered on 15th March 1990, the Sapphire is finished in Moonstone Blue with a classic RS Recaro interior in grey velour and cloth and was showing 78,418 miles at the time of cataloguing. The vendor, a true RS-enthusiast, has owned this wonderful Ford Press Car since 1995 and he has kept it carefully garaged and maintained with regular lubrication services during this time. Coming to market due to retirement and subsequent loss of dry storage, the car will be presented to auction benefiting from a major service that included a fresh cambelt, water pump and an advisory-free MOT.It’s accompanied by both keys, a period Cobra Alarm, recently refurbished alloy wheels, its history file and an original copy of the July 1990 Fast Ford Magazine in which the car featured as part of its former press activity. This is an important example in all round excellent condition that’s worthy of serious consideration by any collector of RS Fords.Specification Make: FORD Model: SIERRA RS COSWORTH Year: 1990 Chassis Number: WF0FXXGBBFLY26936 Registration Number: G364 COO Transmission: Manual Engine Number: LY26936 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 78418 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Grey ClothClick here for more details and images

Super smooth straight-six 'Sharknose' 635 CSi with just 27,000 miles from new and in superb condition. BMW's E24 6-Series is regarded as one of the best German high-performance coupés of the late 20th century, an elegantly styled, extremely rapid Grand Tourer powered by the Bavarian marque's superb range of straight-sixes. Initially launched in 1976 in either carburetted 630CS form or with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel-injection (as the 633CSi), the definitive E24 for most people was the 635CSi announced two years later, with an appreciable power boost from its 3.5-litre engine. Sporting a discreet front air dam and boot lid spoiler, the 635CSi was available with a 5-speed gearbox for the first time, although most customers opted for the refined ZF automatic, making manual cars something of a rarity these days. The beautifully appointed cabin could accommodate four adults in genuine comfort whilst the cockpit-style dashboard layout and instrument panel set the standard for generations of future BMWs. A new feature was the Check Control System, monitoring light bulbs, fluid levels and brake pads – commonplace on today’s luxury cars but a real innovation at the time.On offer and is an original, UK-supplied, right-hand drive, post-facelift 635CSi with the revised exterior and interior styling and upgraded chassis, suspension, and electronics. It’s powered by BMW's sonorous 215bhp M30 straight-six with a smooth 4-speed automatic gearbox and is superbly presented in Polaris Silver with a blue cloth interior in excellent condition. It was first registered on 1st July 1982 and has been with its current owner for seven years. At the time of cataloguing, the indicated mileage was just 26,818 and this is supported by a large history file with extensive historic paperwork including invoices since our vendor's purchase in 2017. Included in the file is a letter (12th September 2007) from Munich Legends stating that this '1982 facelift model is a truly exceptional example' and that 'finding such a car at any price would be extremely difficult'. The current MOT is valid until February 2025 and was issued with 'No Advisories'.Epitomising style and mechanical prowess when they arrived on the motoring scene in 1976, these beautiful coupés will always stand the test of time with the ability to 'wow' anywhere.Very sensibly estimated, we invite and encourage your inspection of this classic BMW.Specification Make: BMW Model: 635 CSI Year: 1982 Chassis Number: WBAEC8204C8185083 Registration Number: DBH 626X Transmission: Auto Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 27000 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Glorious Dark Blue Mk2 that benefits from an older restoration with performance upgrades and 'Coombs'-style enhancements. Excitingly offered at 'No Reserve'. Racing driver John Coombs' name will forever be linked with that of Jaguar, his MkI and Mk2 saloons being at the forefront of British saloon car racing throughout the late 1950s/early 1960s. He gave up competitive driving to concentrate on running his Guildford-based Jaguar dealership, making the benefit of his experience available to customers, and over the next seven years they modified between 30 and 40 Mk2s.Essentially, the Coombs conversion consisted of an uprated engine matched by steering and suspension modifications, but the company offered a plethora of options from which customers could choose. They included an additional fuel tank, a wood-rim steering wheel and a chrome plated boot rack. Coombs would also modify the rear wheel arches, removing the spats and making up rolled edges to match the profile of the front wheel arches. The primary objective of this was to improve access for wheel changing during motorsport events, but the modification improved the appearance of the car so much that it is surprising Jaguar themselves did not adopt the modification for production cars. Not all the Coombs cars had the same state of tune, but the typical engine had 9:1 compression pistons, a lightened flywheel and a different carburettor air-intake system. The whole bottom-end assembly would be balanced and the cylinder head would be gas-flowed. A number of Coombs-style cars feature a louvred bonnet but this was not an advertised option in the early days. The classic 3.8-litre Mk2 offered here has been restored and rebuilt in the style of those 1960s John Coombs cars. A Jaguar/Daimler Dating Letter on file reveals that chassis #233517 was originally finished in Jaguar Dark Blue with light blue trim (the same as it is today) and was retailed through Henlys, being first registered as HPA 700C, the registration it wears today. The car's history is not known prior to 1992 when it was acquired by a Mr Vann and it was he that commissioned its restoration. The no expense spared rebuild was commenced by marque specialists, Three Point Four, and completed in November 1997 by Scott-Moncrieff. Its specification includes a rebuilt, balanced and tuned engine, 2" SU carburettors on matching manifolds, front anti-roll bar, Koni shock absorbers, uprated coil springs at the front, 'Coombs'-type rear wheel arches, 'Coombs'-type chromed wire wheels a Moto-Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel, Pioneer stereo system and discreet period style circular mirrors to the window frames. It's believed that the car was subsequently re-trimmed by renowned experts Suffolk & Turley. The Jaguar remained with Mr Vann for the next 20-or-so years before being sold to the owner prior to our vendor who appears to have fastidiously maintained it by the number of Red Triangle bills on file. Included in the fascinating history file are many bills from Scott-Moncrieff for the rebuild and also a photographic record of the restoration, old MOT Certificates, a copy of a sales invoice dated 22nd April 2016 from Runnymede Motor Company and more recent Invoices from Red Triangle for various works on the car during 2016/2017. Most recently this car last sold in July 2020 at auction for £51,750 but appears to have never been driven by its new owner (a US-resident) and committed to secure storage. The Jaguar has recently emerged from those four years of storage so an element of recommissioning is to be expected.Excitingly offered at No Reserve, we encourage your inspection at our Supercar Fest Sale of Iconic and Classic Cars.Specification Make: JAGUAR Model: MK2 3.8-LITRE SALOON Year: 1964 Chassis Number: 233517 Registration Number: HPA 700C Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 87074 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: LeatherClick here for more details and images

On offer from a private Collection, a very smart example of what was undoubtedly the start of the future.  In today's automotive landscape, it's essential for major manufacturers to incorporate hybrid or all-electric options into their lineup. BMW took this a step further by launching BMW i, a brand dedicated to promoting environmentally friendly vehicles. Leading this initiative is the i8, which made its debut as a concept at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show before hitting the market in April 2014. This plug-in hybrid boasts impressive performance, with a turbocharged petrol engine powering the rear wheels and an electric motor in the front axle assembly. With outputs of 228bhp and 139bhp equivalent, the i8 accelerates from 0-60mph in under 4.4 seconds and is electronically limited to 155mph. Its sleek coupé design features 'butterfly' doors and a carbon fibre-reinforced passenger cell, contributing to its low drag coefficient and fuel efficiency at high speeds. Whether silently gliding on electric power or unleashing its speed with a flick of a switch, the i8 marks a significant step towards the future, challenging traditional notions of automotive performance. Here is a stunning BMW i8 finished in Protonic Blue over Frozen Grey metallic paintwork, complemented by an Ivory White BMW 'i-Spheric' perforated full leather interior. This right-hand drive example, first registered in January 2015, was acquired by the current owner from Stratstone BMW in April 2017, with detailed records included. Part of a private Collection, the car has been meticulously maintained by professionals, with maintenance invoices and the original BMW owner's handbook included. As one of the world's most sought after electric-hybrid sports cars, the i8 represents a pioneering blend of speed, style, and sustainability. Lot 216

A collector-quality example of Renault's never-to-be-repeated, limited edition design classic with just over 5,000 miles and an extensive service history. Designed from the outset as a driver's car, the Spider's chassis was made of aluminium (combining low weight and substantial strength) clad in a GRP body. The gearbox and engine were one unit, transversally fixed in an oscillating hinge (an arrangement inspired by aeronautical design), which all but eradicated the interference of engine vibration with the chassis. The pedals of the Spider were adjustable as well as the seat so the driver could achieve the absolute optimum driving position. The heart of the Spider was a mid-mounted, 2-litre, DOHC F7R four-cylinder engine which was borrowed from the Clio Williams and later used in the Mégane Coupé. Tuned to generate 148bhp and 129lb/ft of torque, the 16-valve unit was linked to a 5-speed manual transmission that sent power to the rear wheels. The 930kg two-seater sprinted from 0 to 62mph in 6.9 seconds and went on to a top speed of 133mph.According to the official production numbers, there were just 1,685 examples of the Spider assembled in Alpine’s Dieppe factory from 1996 to 1999. Each car was hand-built from start to finish and took about 90 hours to complete, which partially justified it's relatively high price at the time. The Spider model was unfortunately discontinued after only a year and a half of production.400 left-hand drive cars were produced as 'saute vente’ with a wind deflector (instead of a windscreen) which created an air-screen in front of the driver. For the UK-market, a number of right-hand drive cars were built with windscreens, but only 60 of them were sold. The remainder of the cars were sold in the German market converted back to left-hand drive, with the addition of a driver’s airbag. The 1997 Renault Sport Spider presented here is one of those 60 windscreen-equipped, right-hand drive examples sold new to the UK-market and has covered just over 5,000 miles since new. It's finished in the original three-stage Pearlescent Liquid Yellow paintwork – arguably a Spider’s signature colour. Incredibly original and still in 'showroom condition', there cannot be many better examples available, its condition being wholly commensurate with its low mileage, fully supported by servicing records.  It was supplied new on 16th December 1997 through Bailey’s of Hanley Ltd. (Renault) and is still accompanied by its owner's book-pack, service book, numerous receipts and invoices, V5C, previous MOT Certificates and both keys, as well as clear and weatherproof cockpit covers. It also retains its original ‘briefcase’ in the front luggage compartment which houses the locking wheel nut, spares, tow hook, and jack. The service record is impeccable too, the most recent (with cambelt) being carried out at Renault specialists, Cedar Motors Ltd. of Leicestershire, in August 2023. Full details in the history file. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a special little sports car which is rarely seen on British roads and that is sure to be the talking point at any classic car show.Specification Make: RENAULT Model: SPORTS SPIDER Year: 1999 Chassis Number: VMKAF0H0515801676 Registration Number: R137 EFA Transmission: Manual Engine Number: C000322 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 5215 Miles Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

Delightful second-generation Corvette in Nassau Blue with a 427ci 'big-block' and a manual gearbox. Introduced in 1963, Chevrolet's sensational new Corvette Stingray (factory designation C2) represented a quantum leap for America's favourite sports car, both technically and in terms of its dramatic looks, and featured a new ladder-type chassis designed by Zora Arkus-Duntov combined with stunning bodywork penned by Larry Shinoda for Bill Mitchell's styling team. Initially sold with the classic 'small-block' 327ci V8 under the elegant bonnet, the C2 was a significant improvement over the earlier cars thanks to independent suspension all-round, the much stiffer box-section frame and, from 1965, the addition of Delco disc brakes at each corner. The list of drivetrain choices expanded to include a 396ci 'big-block' in 1965 followed by the legendary 427ci the following year along with an array of manual or automatic transmissions.Cosmetic changes were remarkably few, a testament to Shinoda's original concept, and only minor alterations were made for 1966 including a new 'egg-crate' grille, new rocker-panel mouldings, chrome-plated exhaust bezels, a new wheel cover design and the 'Corvette Stingray' script added to the bonnet. This delightful example dates from 1966 and is powered by the 427ci 'Turbo-Jet' V8 combined with a manual gearbox. Naturally, it's left-hand drive and is superbly presented in Nassau Blue with a white soft top and a classic black interior, all set off by chromed side-exit exhausts and C2 direct-bolt 'knockoff' wheels with narrow 'whitewalls'.It arrived from the USA in 1989 and since then, the history file contains a complete timeline and a breakdown of the expenditure lavished on keeping this Corvette in the best possible condition and mechanical health. Much of the restoration work was carried out in 2004/5 by renowned Corvette specialists, Vette Dreams, and the file details extensive work including the Nassau Blue repaint and an engine rebuild by Tower Engineering of Clacton-on-Sea which included a reground crankshaft, all new bearings, fully balanced and a top-end rebuild with new exhaust valve seats. The history file contains multiple invoices covering the purchase of parts from marque specialists. Judging by earlier MOTs and recorded mileages, it appears that the car has only covered around three thousand miles since the restoration and still presents to a very high standard today. More recently, in 2022/3, the power steering assembly including all the belts was replaced ensuring that the driving experience of this very quick Corvette remains a pleasure. It was with its last owner for 15 years who so enjoyed the car that, having sold it once, he bought it back.Although later generations of Corvette became more technologically advanced, none have quite managed to capture the style, presence and driving pleasure of the original 1963-67 Stingrays.Specification Make: CHEVROLET Model: CORVETTE Year: 1966 Chassis Number: 194676S110068 Registration Number: PBY 109D Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Make: LHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

An early production example with a factory hardtop, low ownership and just 33,542 miles from new. Some cars just get better looking with age and the R107 Series Mercedes-Benz SL is definitely amongst them. Overshadowed for a long time by its graceful 'Pagoda' predecessor, it's now becoming better appreciated for what it is - a beautifully built sports roadster that is totally dependable. To this day, no car door closes with a more reassuring 'thunk' than a Mercedes SL and everything about the car suggests solid engineering. Fast, comfortable and discreetly understated, the SL has a matchless ability to munch up the miles for year after year without ever seeming to falter. No wonder it stayed in production, fundamentally unaltered, from 1971 until 1989 - the longest production run of any Mercedes car to date. Mercedes offered a number of engine choices over the years, however the early cars were fitted with the 3.5-litre, M116.980, SOHC V8 featuring Bosch D-Jetronic fuel-injection and produced, when new, 197bhp and 210ft/lbs of torqueVery rare in original condition, this early production, low ownership R107 350SL has only covered 33,542 miles from new having spent a well documented 22 years professionally stored and cared for by Storacar in Buckinghamshire. The original Mercedes-Benz service book shows that it was registered to its first Mayfair owner in early 1972 and contains seven stamps through to 2015, supporting the very low indicated mileage. It's finished in Arctic White with black leather trim, rare in period as most cars were specified with cloth or MB-Tex. The correspondence in the history file suggests that the SL was used by the first owner and his wife through to 1991 (first and second owners) when it was sold to its third owner who put it into storage where it remained until purchased by our vendor in 2015 (only 193 miles were covered in 22 years of storage). It's supplied with a factory hardtop and a fascinating history file containing the service records, a fresh MOT valid until April 2025, and a copy of Classic Mercedes Magazine in 2015 with a feature comparing this early car to a final production car from 1989.Specification Make: MERCEDES-BENZ Model: 350SL Year: 1972 Chassis Number: 10704322004610 Registration Number: RBY 511K Transmission: Automatic Engine Number: 11698222003035 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHD Interior Colour: Black LeatherClick here for more details and images

Lot 271

As the ultimate representation of TVR's Speed Six era - and of Peter Wheeler’s vision for the brand - this unique T440R is a significant part of the Blackpool firm's history.  If you are familiar with TVR’s back catalogue, you will understand the significance of this car; just like with the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 sold by Iconic Auctioneers (formerly Silverstone Auctions) last year, for £601,500, we are thrilled to offer this incredible opportunity to own another genuine piece of TVR history. The T440R was created so that TVR could challenge at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the intention of securing the marque homologation and FIA Approval to enter GT1 Class Endurance Racing. Initially named the ‘Tuscan R’ (R standing for Racing), the project began during the late 1990s with the hope that TVR would return to the Circuit de la Sarthe for the first time in more than 40 years. With an entirely new approach required to maintain speeds in excess of 200 mph on the Mulsanne Straight, the T440R was constructed completely by hand with a specialist in-house factory team. Designed with the help of cutting-edge CAD/CAM Technology, the complex and cutting-edge advanced structure was both hugely advanced and expensive to develop, and was like no other TVR built before it, or since. With a naturally-aspirated engine producing more than 400bhp and weighing just over 1100kgs, the performance of the T440R was quite simply staggering. Sophisticated aerodynamics generated a drag coefficient of a remarkable 0.32 and the production methods included a flat-floor design constructed from resin-filled aluminium honeycomb. This structure was then bonded and bolted directly to the seamless tubular chassis and integral steel roll-cage. A separate, lightweight carbon fibre tub was then also bonded to the structure together with the carbon fibre bodywok adding further strength and rigid reinforcement. From this, TVR were able to offer (in theory) two road-going versions of this car, the T440R - with a 4.2-litre 440bhp engine, and the Typhon (which was intended to run a sequential gearbox and a supercharger, but never came to fruition). The first of the T440R examples, and always registered as ‘PN02 ZNG’, is the car presented here. PN02 ZNG was actually the second factory pre-production car, the first (a purple, or sometimes silver example) was destroyed at the factory.PN02 ZNG remained road-registered, sporting its factory 4.2-litre powerplant, and was the original factory press car which was used in the marketing literature and brochures at the time, and was famously driven by Jeremy Clarkson in his 2002 film, No Limits, which can be viewed on YouTube. Subsequently, the car was factory-converted into an interpretation of the envisaged race car (in DeWalt livery) and was displayed at Le Mans, as a promotional exercise, in about 2004/5, to publicise TVR’s (hopefully) forthcoming involvement in the racing series. Following this, in 2008, it was purchased by a private customer (through ‘Racing Green’), whilst being in the care of TVR specialists since 2014.Overseen by our vendor, it has now been fully restored by those TVR specialists, and is fitted with a brand new 4.4-litre Speed Six engine built by Dom Trickett at Powers Performance, the same company that developed high-performance engines for the factory. Its engine now is as close in output/engineering competency as TVR ever achieved, with the 'aspirational' 440bhp (which helped coin the model's name back-in-the-day) always proving hard to actually reach. It also has a new clutch, differential, shocks, close-ratio gearbox, suspension and many other parts, all bespoke to the car. The exhaust was built by the talented Ryan Edwards, whilst the door glass was specially re-made by the original manufacturers in Italy! Such has been the attention to detail. PN02 ZNG is now in better condition that it ever was, it's fit & finish is superb, the materials used are first-rate, whilst the engineers employed to reinstate it have had the time, budget and derived knowledge to make this sensational car as good as it could ever be.The car has been superbly painted in its stunning original Candy Apple Red and has a newly trimmed, high-quality full leather interior. A comprehensive photo file of the rebuild, plus pictures of the car in its original form at the factory, have been put together to record this historic build (available upon request). The provenance of PN02 ZNG is indisputable, valid and can be easily traced; indeed, David Hothersall (TVR CC), an expert on these cars, can vouch for its veracity. Please do enquire if there is any uncertainty or questions. With the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 having sold for more than £600,000 last year, this original T440R represents an incredible chance to own an immaculate piece of the TVR story for a fraction of that figure. One of the rarest (but entirely usable) cars in TVR’s history could now be yours.Iconic Auctioneers are again very proud to offer for sale such a car- a unique example of its type from an era of British automotive brilliance. For any serious collector or enthusiast, this is a remarkable opportunity to acquire this legendary motor car and, as its owner, you and it would be welcome and much admired at any high-profile motoring event anywhere in the world.PN02 ZNG was recently featured in the current edition of 'Classic & Sportscar' magazine: https://www.classicandsportscar.com/features/tvr-t440r-blackpools-200mph-road-racerand also on the 'DriveTribe' YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqBS19coeBc(The first eight photographs here are used with permission from, and much thanks to, Classic & Sportscar magazine, part of the Haymarket Media Group, and were taken by John Bradshaw; and the Copyright remains with them)   Specification Make: TVR Model: T440R Year: 2002 Chassis Number: SDLGA18A92B001249 Registration Number: PN02 ZNG Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 0212P6402673 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Make: RHDClick here for more details and images

UK-supplied P1 recently mechanically refreshed and in excellent condition throughout. Built at Subaru's Fuji Heavy Industries plant in Japan and honed by rally royalty, Prodrive, the Impreza P1 was always destined to become the hugely desirable modern classic that we rightfully see it as today. Built in a limited run of just 1,000 cars, every one featured the iconic Blue Mica paintwork, Anthracite 17" OZ racing wheels and a plethora of upgrades and unique features. It's easy to see why the P1 has gained such a cult following.Based on the two-door bodyshell, with aerodynamics enhanced by Peter Stevens of McLaren F1 fame, beefier running gear and a fabulous suspension setup by Prodrive, the P1 has more in common with the legendary Impreza 22B than its larger four-door Impreza WRX contemporaries. Developed with British B-roads in mind, by the very same company which helped the likes of Colin McRae, Petter Solburg and Richard Burns win World Rally Championships, the 'Prodrive One' was intended to counter the wave of grey-import STI Type Rs arriving from Japan.Upgrades to the P1 were extensive, but not intrusive. The list includes a more powerful 280bhp engine (up 69bhp from a standard Impreza Turbo), mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with longer gearing and ABS brakes meaning the difference between a standard Impreza and a P1 is minimal. In addition to the 17" titanium-finish alloy wheels and rally-proven suspension, further upgrades include a big-bore exhaust and a quick-shift gear linkage. This particular UK-registered P1 (#0961/1000) has clearly led a cherished and much cared-for life, presenting superbly as you would expect from one of the most sought after Subaru derivatives. It benefits from a full engine refresh with more recent works noted, including a new Kevlar cambelt, new water pump, rear diff seals, and fresh fluids throughout including the diffs and gearbox, utilising industry-leading Millers Oils products. The braking system has also been flushed and refilled with RBF 600 high-performance fluid with a full four-wheel alignment completed to ensure that everything is pointing in the right direction. To enhance the already impressive specification of the P1, several subtle modifications have been carried out including an uprated turbo, a Roger Clark Motorsport lightened flywheel and pulley set, a front-mounted intercooler and oil cooler, uprated injectors and an uprated 3-point boost solenoid valve. Roger Clark Ltd. also supplied and fitted the first set of DEFi gauges imported into the UK and naturally the engine electronics have been remapped to provide the required synergy between all components. The car is accompanied by an extensive service history with stamped service book, numerous invoices and general paperwork and the original rear light clusters remain with the car and will be handed over to the new custodian on successful purchase. Your early inspection is welcomed and encouraged.Specification Make: SUBARU Model: IMPREZA P1 Year: 2001 Chassis Number: JF1GM8KDGYG003390 Registration Number: RL51 ZGW Transmission: Manual Engine Number: 902395 Drive Side: Right-hand Drive Odometer Reading: 74812 Miles Make: RHD Interior Colour: Blue / Grey ClothClick here for more details and images

Registration - XBV 353Chassis No. - TC3538M.O.T. - ExemptOdometer - 12,887Gloriously presented in British Racing Green, this MG TC Midget has spent much of its life in the Netherlands, though was a UK home market model when produced more than 75 years ago. The rich, dark green bodywork and grille is complemented by similar deep green leather upholstery, with wooden dashboard and chrome detailing inside and out. Fitted with MG’s 1.25-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and four-speed manual gearbox, ‘XBV 353’ includes a rear-mounted spare wheel, fitted black canvas roof, and beautiful details such as the art deco-style radiator cap ornament, and Bluemels Brooklands steering wheel. This TC Midget was exported to the Netherlands in 1960 so the indicated 12,887 miles on the five-digit instrument cannot be warranted. ‘XBV 353’ returned to the UK in 2015, and has been well-cared for since. The seller reports that the MG was subject to a comprehensive restoration when overseas, but unfortunately there is no documentation for this. It does come with a heritage certificate, original handbook, and tool-kit however, as well as a folder with what documentation is available, including reports of previous owners. The current owner considers the bodywork and paintwork as being in ‘good’ condition, while the engine, transmission, electrics, and interior are all rated as ‘excellent’. MG’s T-Type cars are a series of models built from 1936 until 1955 – including the TA, TB, TC, TD, and TF. The first generation TA Midget was an evolution of the PB predecessor, continuing the two-seater roadster style. Built on an ash frame with a steel body, it allowed for the option of a Tickford drophead coupe for greater weather protection than the canvas-roof convertible. Called the T-Type until the TB was launched, the TA was replaced in 1939, but as only a few months between the start of production until the outbreak of the Second World War, fewer than 400 TBs were made before MG switched its factories to manufacturing military components. Launched in 1945, the TC was the first post-war MG, and although similar to the pre-war model, it had a wider cabin for increased comfort, and slightly modified version of the 1,250cc engine used in the TB. Greater styling changes were seen with the TD, and TF models, though the same 1.25-litre engine featured almost until the end of production, other than the introduction of a 1.5-litre unit from mid-1954. The TF was superseded by the MGA in 1955. · Beautiful example of a post-war British classic roadster.· Home market model, but it has spent 55 years abroad.· Offered with heritage certificate and original handbook.

It was the final ‘bonneted truck’ from Bedford, with the subsequent 1969 Bedford CF boasting the more space-efficient forward control layout that was becoming commonplace. The characterful Bedford still carried on being offered in the UK for another six years though – and even following its withdrawal here, it continued to be offered for export. The final cars were not produced until 1998, to meet an order from Kenya. Lancastrians are particularly familiar with the Bedford TJ, as local food company Holland’s Pies used them well into the 1980s – the Bedford was colloquially known as a ‘Holland’s pie van’ there. In summary: · Rare and recently-restored Bedford truck · Useful pick-up rear · ‘Excellent’ engine and transmission

Registration - G652 BDGChassis No. - SAXXFMNB1BD916959M.O.T. - February 2025Odometer - 48,000This stunningly clean example of Austin’s Mini Metro looks as though it has just rolled off the production line, despite being a 34 year old car. Considered to be in near concours condition by the owner, ‘G652 BDG’ is presented in gleaming red bodywork, and pristine grey interior in Clubman L specification. Fitted with Austin’s 1.0-litre four-cylinder engine and four-speed manual gearbox, this Mini Metro was restored to a very high standard five years ago. It has no rust and has never required welding underneath, while many parts remain original, such as the numberplates, stereo, and wheel trims. The key works in all three doors and ignition – a rarity for cars of this age – and where parts have needed to be replaced, they have done so sympathetically. For example, it has had new hydroelastic suspension fitted all-round; and there’s a huge file of paperwork documenting work carried out.Featured in a six page spread in Classic Car Magazine, ‘G652 BDG’ carries only 48,000 miles on its odometer, which though isn’t warranted, is believed to be correct by only the fifth owner in the car’s history. Unexpectedly, the current keeper considers all areas of the Mini Metro – engine, transmission, electrics, bodywork, paintwork, and interior – as in ‘excellent’ condition; offering a time-warp little hatchback to buyers in seemingly immaculate condition. Coming along towards the end of a turbulent time in British manufacturing history, the Mini Metro – later just referred to as the Metro – was produced from 1980 to 1998, with more than two million models produced. During its eighteen year lifespan, it was known as the Austin Metro, MG Metro, and Rover Metro, before being rebadged as the Rover 100 in 1994. Registration - W724 XNKChassis No. - JF1GC8KD3YG052232M.O.T. - June 2024Odometer - 133,000A highly sought-after version of Subaru’s iconic World Rally Championship-era Impreza, this 2000 Turbo example is offered in rare red paintwork, with a black and red interior. Fitted with Subaru’s famed 2.0-litre turbo-charged, four-cylinder boxer engine and five-speed manual gearbox, ‘W724 XNK’ is an increasingly rare model – an Impreza that remains in good condition. Mechanically, work has been carried out too the suspension, with new shock absorbers, springs, and top mounts all-round. The cambelt has also been sorted, new discs and brake pads all-round, a coil pack conversion carried out with new plugs, and a hybrid turbo fitted. The ECU has been tweaked, seeing ‘W724 XNK’ remapped to 300hp according to the present owner’s documents. The bodywork has also been worked on, with sills replaced on both sides, a new exhaust fitted, and all four alloys powder coated with new tyres fitted. The present owner has a large folder of paperwork that will come with the Impreza, which comes with an indicated 133,000 miles on the odometer. They describe the bodywork, paint, and interior as in ‘average’ condition, though the transmission and electrics are reckoned ‘good’, and the engine as ‘excellent’. Introduced in 1992, the Subaru Impreza was a simple, practical, family car – offered as a four-door saloon, two-door coupe, five-door estate, and later on a five-door hatchback – with little about it to get the blood pumping and customers banging at the door of dealerships… until Subaru took it rallying. Entering the WRC with the Impreza changed Subaru’s desirability instantly, and multiple successes over many years say the blue and gold rally machines sprinkle plenty of stardust over the rest of the range – particularly since Subaru’s rally cars managed to attract some of the finest rally drivers around. With a plethora of various WRX and STi models released over five separate generations, there are almost too many to list here. Each brought about a flair and ‘real-world’ performance that made the likes of Subaru, and key rival Mitsubishi’s equivalents, highly desirable machines. · Carefully maintained example of a modern classic.· Remapped to 300hp, with work to suspension, brakes, and bodywork also carried out.· Offered with large file of paperwork.

Registration - DK07 WJLChassis No. - JMZNC18F600131595M.O.T. - December 2024Odometer - 131,977This 2007 Mazda MX-5 is finished in classic sporting red, a great colour choice for a modern two-seat roadster that echoes the best of 1960s British sports cars. An enviable 2.0-litre Sport model, this ‘NC’ Mazda MX-5 generation has 131,000 recorded miles on the odometer, but is still described as being in ‘good’ condition throughout, from engine and transmission to bodywork, paintwork and interior. As a range-topping Sport version, it has a limited-slip differential and close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox, offering the snick-snick shift all MX-5 are famous for. The vendor reports it has had four recent tyres, been waxoiled underneath from new, and comes with the original book pack. It also has a series of subsidiary invoices, and the MOT expires in December 2024. This car has had two previous owners from new and we are told that it has been lightly used in recent years, with just a few thousand miles being covered annually. The legendary Mazda MX-5 was introduced in 1989 after being lovingly crafted by a crack team of experts during the 1980s. The original idea actually dated back to the 1970s, as an inexpensive, simple, classically British sports car. It took the engineering expertise of Mazda to revive a concept that had died out by the time of its launch – and the quite brilliant original MX-5 quickly took the world by storm. Developed across multiple generations, has gone on to be the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history, with its record growing all the time; it will probably never be matched. As a car with perfect weight distribution, neutral handling and an indulgently controllable simplicity even on the limit, it is easy to see why the Guinness World Record-holding Mazda MX-5 continues to be loved. In summary:· Desirable Mazda MX-5 2.0 Sport offered for No Reserve· Eye-catching red with a black interior· Four new tyres and waxoiled underneath from new

The limited-run cars were created following the appearance of a bespoke Range Rover in a Vogue magazine photoshoot; all production cars shared the same light blue metallic paint, ‘Vogue’ coachlines and beige velour interior complemented by wood veneer. The 3.5-litre V8 engine is paired with an automatic transmission. The vendor is offering this car as a project, and says it is presented accordingly. They describe it as being in ‘average’ condition throughout. For a skilled marque enthusiast or specialist workshop, it would make an ideal restoration project, particularly as many of the original special features appear to remain in tact. Owned by the same family for the past 20 years, it is offered with no reserve. The Range Rover was introduced in 1970 as a more luxurious V8-powered alternative ot the classic series Land Rover. Inspired by American family-focused off-roaders, it had more comfortable suspension, a smooth and effortless engine, yet still boasted excellent off-road abilities. The In Vogue special edition of 1981, inspired by a photoshoot by the eponymous fashion magazine, was the most luxurious yet, and helped the Range Rover develop into the genuine luxury car it is today. In summary:Rare Range Rover In Vogue project carOne of just 1000 collectable 1981 special editionsOwned by the same family for 20 years and offered with no reserve

A carefully completed CLK AMG 6.3 Black Series recreation, this CLK 240 Convertible looks every inch as though it has been built by Mercedes’ famed tuning specialists in Affalterbach, and is reckoned to be the only convertible Black Series replica in the UK. The bodywork has been built and fitted by Fulhand Cars, and comes complete with fresh paintwork, with the vendor describing the sharply-styled exterior as being in ‘excellent’ condition.Under the bonnet sits the 2.6-litre V6 petrol engine fitted to the CLK 240 range, making it ULEZ compliant under current regulations, and that unit is connected to a five-speed automatic transmission – both of which are ‘excellent’ according to the current owner.Rolling off the factory production line in ‘Avantgarde’ specification, many of the exterior details have been altered with the fitting of the Black Series replica kit, including 20-inch deep dish staggered wheels – which have new tyres fitted – and custom quad exhaust for the full aural Black Series experience. TA Technix coilovers have been fitted too, to make sure that the changes are not simply skin-deep. The cabin remains in standard specification, which includes two-tone grey leather interior and multi-function steering wheel, plus of course, the folding convertible roof.Recently serviced, and with a long MOT, this near 21 year old car looks in great condition for its age, and carries its indicated 121,994 miles well. All areas of the vehicle are described by the vendor as being in ‘excellent’ condition, and buyers have the chance to obtain a full AMG look, but without the performance car costs.Mercedes-Benz’s CLK-Class is a key, but relatively short-lived, model in the German giant’s history. Having been introduced in 1996, it proved a temporary separated ‘E-Class’ coupe and convertible option, before the two-door models were brought back within the E-Class’s portfolio. The mid-sized premium coupe and cabriolet saw three-generations within its time in production, starting with the C/W208 version, followed by the C/A209 models, and completing the set with the C/A207 series. The badge was also successfully raced in Germany’s DTM touring car championship, and provided the inspiration behind the CLK GTR GT1 endurance racer.Unique example of Mercedes’ convertible CLKFitted with AMG Black Series style body kit, including upgraded exhaust and suspensionRunning a CLK 240 powertrain under the bonnet

The odometer reads just over 78,000 miles, a mileage supported by the full service history, and the vendor says it was supplied new by Hadley Green Garage in Hertfordshire “and still has the original dealer sticker in the rear window”. It is finished in a subtle and classy metallic blue with a cream interior, and both are described as being in ‘good’ condition. The interior also features Jaguar’s famous walnut wood veneer, which is described as being in ‘excellent’ condition. The folding convertible roof is electrically operated, and has a matching cream interior liner. What’s more, the 4.0-litre V8 engine and automatic transmission are said to be in ‘excellent’ condition, as are the electrics. This cherished Jaguar XK8 comes with the original book packs, which include the driver’s manual and service booklet, detailing the car’s full service history. With the Jaguar brand set to be reborn in 2025, this is a great opportunity to buy a genuine modern classic. The Jaguar XK8, known by marque aficionados as X100, was introduced in 1996 to revive the storied XK series. It was offered as a two-door coupe or convertible, powered by the all-new Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. Intriguingly, the architecture was derived from the Jaguar XJ-S and was related to the Aston Martin DB7 – both cars were based on a 1980s concept that never reached production. The beautiful styling referenced the original Jaguar E-type with a long bonnet and graceful lines, while the enchanting interior was a luxurious haven that reflected Jaguar’s range-topping aspirations for its new grand tourer. The model range was further developed with a high-performance supercharged Jaguar XKR version, and was later updated with an enlarged 4.2-litre engine. It actually made its world debut at the 1982 British International Motor Show in Birmingham. Dubbed the ‘jelly mould’, it was a futuristic hatchback car with aerodynamics ahead of its time. Although its conservative buyers took time to get used to its dynamic appearance and lack of a traditional boot, it soon started to set the mould for other cars in its class. It was continually developed throughout the 1980s, with standouts including the famous Ford Sierra RS Cosworth – which became an on-track icon as well as a sought-after road car. Registration - K462 KWWChassis No. - WBSHC92000GE00042M.O.T. - January 2925Odometer - 191,000Fast becoming an iconic model, wearing a legendary badge, this beautifully-maintained BMW M5 is already a modern classic. ‘K462 KWW’ is a second-generation version of BMW’s M5 range, powered by the Munich firm’s famous 3.8-litre straight-six petrol engine. Driving the rear wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox, this stealthy super-saloon can still embarrass many sportscars now, let alone at the time it was new. And of course, that’s not simply in a straight line – BMW’s M Division sprinkled its expertise over the suspension and chassis, ensuring the M5 helped build up the German giant’s now famous reputation for driving dynamics. ‘K462 KWW’ is stylishly presented in black with an Alcantara grey interior which features factory-fitted items such as a sunroof, BMW M alloys, and electric seats. During the vendor’s 16-year ownership, the car was kept off the road from 2014 to 2021, and has had considerable work carried out. It has been largely taken apart, and rewelded where necessary, including jack-in points, inner seals, and floors. The engine has had a full upper rebuild, timing chain and tensioner updated, new clutch, and a reconditioned prop-shaft. The suspension has seen new springs fitted at the front, as well as bushes, joints, and steering joints, while the brakes have new disks and pads all round, with new front callipers. Other work carried out includes new radiators, alternator, water pump, hoses, headlining, and wiper linkage, with the valve clearances carried out twice. And of course, all of this has been documented, with a huge file of paperwork. It is offered with an MOT to 21 April 2025, which does have an advisory for cracked rear tyres, but these will be replaced prior to sale. In addition, the car comes with a full spare, jack, and tool-kit.The vendor describes ‘K462 KWW’ as being in ‘good’ condition throughout, from engine and transmission, to cabin, electrics, paintwork, and bodywork, indicating that this M5 is ready to be driven with no real work required straight away, with the amount of work carefully carried out meaning the buyer can likely shrug off the indicated 191,000 miles showing on the odometer. The BMW M5 technically began with the E28 model in 1985, though this had a ‘soft-launch’ the year before with the M535i, showing just what BMW’s M Division could do, and how well it would be received; the company hasn’t looked back. Originally featuring a 3.5-litre straight six engine, the first generation M5 E28 was superseded in 1988 by the E34 model, which saw the fitment of the M1 supercar’s fabulous straight-six under the bonnet. It reinforced the badge perfectly, and established the M5 as one of the practical performance cars of the late 80s. In 1992 it was revised, with adaptive suspension, performance brakes, and a new 3.8-litre engine, before the introduction of the E39 BMW M5 in 1998, which dropped the straight-six engine in favour of a more powerful V8. · Extensively reconditioned example of BMW’s E34 M5.· Carefully maintained, with comprehensive service history and folder of work carried out.· Highly-sought after model offered in ‘good’ condition throughout.

Registration - WHJ 428MChassis No. - 10704312011114M.O.T. - ExemptOdometer - 193,277kmThe epitome of Mercedes-Benz’s coupe and convertible range, the SL represents style and performance in equal measure – and this 1974 350SL is no different. Presented in white with brown leather interior, this left-hand drive example is an imported model, having arrived in the UK in 1997 – with history available up until that date. It is fitted with Mercedes’ 3.5-litre V8 petrol engine and the German manufacturer’s famously smooth automatic transmission.Having been in the vendor's ownership for the last 20 years, despite the car’s unknown history before being imported, there is plenty of paperwork and knowledge concerning ‘WHJ 428M’ since it was registered on these shores. The seller reports that they have kept it garaged when not in use during that time, and the Mercedes has had no additional work carried out to it other than regular servicing and maintenance, and a new stainless-steel exhaust from specialists JP Exhausts fitted. The 350SL is reckoned to be in ‘good’ condition mechanically, and in terms of electrics and cabin quality, while the bodywork and paint is considered ‘excellent’, backing up the care and attention that has been paid to this high-end Mercedes-Benz convertible.Although unwarranted because of its pre-UK history, the odometer displays 193,277km covered, and the vendor – only the third keeper in the car’s history – considers this accurate. Offered at No Reserve, this Mercedes-Benz 350SL Convertible is a superb opportunity to own an unrestored and high-quality example of a flagship droptop. The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is steeped in history, with a series of class-leading models produced over the years, since its introduction in 1954. The ‘SL’ is likely to stand for Sport-Licht (Sport Light) – though Mercedes has never confirmed this abbreviation – but the model has moved closer to being a grand tourer over the decades from its initial sporting roots. The W198 300 SL is one of the most famous and desirable cars ever, with the famous ‘Gullwing’ coupe and convertible Roadster lasting until 1963. They were replaced by the almost equally beautiful W113 models, nicknamed the ‘Pagoda’ SL because of a concave roofline. This edition was produced until 1971, using a range of 2.3, 2.5, or 2.8-litre straight-six engines. The R107 SL arrived in 1971, with a new design ethos, and the first-time fitting of V8 engines alongside straight sixes. These grew up to 5.5-litres in size, as the SL moved towards a touring model, though it was rallied by Mercedes-Benz in long-distance races. Today, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class has become the Mercedes-AMG SL-Class, signifying its shift to the sports arm of the Stuttgart marque, and is offered only as a convertible, with folding soft-top roof and 2+2 seating. · Unrestored and high-quality example of a 1970s classic convertible.· A left-hand drive model, having been imported to the UK in the late 1990s.· Offered at No Reserve

Overfinch, in association with the world famous gunmaker, Holland & Holland, produced a limited edition Range Rover in which standard extras are superseded by bespoke packages for their limited numbers production cars. The prototype and first few Holland & Holland L322's were pre-facelift 4.2 engine cars however the rarest was the 5.0 litre facelift cars and as such this is likely a once in a lifetime find especially as this is number one of the proposed 100 and a car featured on Top Gear amongst other press. For what could be considered the rarest of all Range Rovers, this is one of what is believed to be four produced before Overfinch went into administration and boasts a phenomenal specification. This example was first registered in July 2009 and the first L322 Holland & Holland car to be produced. Our vendor is the fourth keeper of the car and has known the car from new.Initially registered to Overfinch and wearing the OF D365 registration number seen in the press, it was sold to a friend of our vendor who sold the car to his nephew before our vendor took ownership in 2015. Sitting on 22" Overfinch alloys with deployable side steps, the body has an Overfinch Aero bodykit with exhaust finishers, Overfinch LED illuminated kick plates and it comes as no surprise that the car comes with every Range Rover option bar none. These include uprated Harman/Kardon Logic 7 HD, full UV glass, rear cameras, active headlights, touch screen satellite navigation with dual view, locking rear differential and climate front seats.Within the history file is a copy of Shooting Times which the car features on original stock wheels, press photo, original Holland & Holland sales brochure featuring this very car and the gun cabinet that it sadly no longer carries. Introduced in March of 1971, the Corniche was a revised version of the H J Mulliner, Park Ward-bodied two-door variants of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow and Bentley T-Series saloons, themselves notable as the Crewe factory's first unitary-construction cars. They featured the finest engineered technologies of the day, such as independent suspension, disc brakes in all four corners, and fuel injected power plants. In Corniche form, Rolls-Royce's well-tried 6.75-liter V8 produced around ten percent more power than standard and proved capable of propelling the car to a top speed in excess of 120mph with sports car-beating acceleration to match. The model proved a major success for Rolls-Royce, and although its exterior style remained recognizably Silver Shadow, the Corniche benefited from the regular updates and improvements made to the contemporary Silver Spirit range. Remaining in production well into the 1990s, the last convertible examples were delivered in 1995.This stunning 1973 Rolls-Royce Corniche was supplied new to Mr H A Gover in South Belfast through Hadley Green Garage with the special order of a decanter and two glasses in the passenger door pocket. Purchased by the previous owner in 2015, a private classic car collector, who sent the car to marque specialists Chelsea Workshop to completely restore the car from the ground up in his own colour scheme after two years and spending over £250,000 resulting in this beautiful Corniche Convertible. Since its completion the car has covered less than 1500 miles. Finished in cream with white soft top and cream leather interior it still retains the decanter and glasses in the passenger door. It is supplied with a V5 registration document and a large file containing invoices which show what has been done to the car and a set of the chassis cards supplied by the RREC. This has to be one of the best examples available anywhere in the world and if the colour of the piping on the seats is not to the new owners taste it would be a very inexpensive to have them re-coloured. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SE entered production in saloon, coupé and cabriolet form and was one of four models to share the new ‘Fintail’ body style first seen at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1959. It became the flagship model at the time of its introduction in 1961, superseding the 300 ‘Adenauer’ and would remain so until the arrival of the 600 ‘Grosser Mercedes’ in 1963. Although similar in appearance to the contemporary 220, the 300 SE was mechanically more refined, featuring self-levelling air suspension, power assisted steering, servo assisted disc brakes on all four wheels and, from August 1963, dual-circuit braking. From 1964 the 2,996cc, Bosch fuel-injected, six-cylinder all-alloy engine produced 170bhp (DIN), an output sufficient to propel the luxuriously equipped 300SE to around 200km/h, or 195km/h when equipped with the optional four-speed automatic transmission. As is the case with all of Mercedes-Benz’s many flagship models, ownership of the 300 SE was confined to a wealthy few. At the time of its launch in 1961, coincidental with that of the Jaguar E-Type, one could have bought two of the British sports cars for the price of a single 300 SE! Only 5,202 had been sold when production ceased in 1965.Finished in the original colour scheme of beige with a turquoise leather interior trim, this highly original automatic transmission 300SE was first registered in the UK on 18th February 1965 and had been well maintained and dry stored for some 28 years before the vendor bought the car in 2018. Under his ownership the car has undergone a significant, but sympathetic restoration to make it the best 300SE we have ever seen. New old stock wings were sourced and fitted along with having new sills and new spare wheel well fitted. New chrome was ordered, the car fully repainted in its factory colour and new old stock carpets fitted, new seat flutes fitted, the wood dash restored and a Becker radio sourced. As well as all this, the car benefitted from having a complete mechanical overhaul with the engine being refreshed, the fuel injection pump being rebuilt, a new radiator and a new sump pan fitted, the power steering pump was rebuilt, air suspension was fully serviced, the gearbox overhauled, as were the brakes and every other part of the car. Almost all of this work was carried out by renowned classic Mercedes-Benz specialist John Haynes at a cost of over £77,500 since 2019 with the vendor reporting the car to run and drive extremely well. The history file comes complete with its V5C, previous MoT test certificates, original books in their original wallet, invoices, copy of its build sheet that also confirms its engine and gearbox are both original. With just over 56,000 miles on the odometer, this 300 SE represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare, top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz luxury saloon. Introduced at the 1984 Paris Salon, the Testarossa caused a sensation. The functionality of its Pininfarina-styled bodywork was disguised by a wealth of flamboyant and futuristic detailing. Developed with the aid of a wind tunnel, it combined a low drag coefficient with impressive negative lift characteristics. The first twelve-cylinder Ferrari to be marketed in America for a decade, the new flagship was of vital importance to Maranello. Although it was built around a similar tubular steel matrix, it retained the same mid-engined layout as its Berlinetta Boxer forebears. The Testarossa was more than just a simple evolution, its use of galvanised steel for the doors, roof and bulkheads promised greater longevity while a longer wheelbase, wider track and revised all-round double-wishbone coil-over suspension promoted better handling. As well as greater interior space, drivers also benefited from an adjustable steering column, re-profiled seats and air conditioning. Mounting the drive train and rear suspension on a separate sub-frame meant better noise insulation and easier servicing. The switch from a large front-mounted radiator to twin units housed in front of each rear wheel resulted in more efficient cooling and less heat soak. Extensively reworked, the 4,942cc, flat-12 (developing some 390bhp) is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Highly praised by the contemporary motoring press, Autocar magazine found the Testarossa capable of 181mph and 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds. Presented in, what many believe to be, the best combination of Ferrari Rosso Corsa with Crema leather interior, this very low mileage, original right hand drive UK Testarossa can only be described as in excellent condition throughout. First registered in February 1993 with Stratstone of Wilmslow, K795 FAR was with the previous owner from the summer of 2013, he purchased the car from a private collection. Having spent 16 years in the collection, the car was re-commissioned with attention to detail high on the list of priorities and, in 2014, was subject to a full cambelt service by renowned Ferrari mechanic and Maranello trained, John Greatorex. The current owner purchased the car in 2016 and added it to his collection, believed to have only covered 13,900 miles from new. Wanting his cars to be as near perfect as possible he sent the car in 2017 to Maranello in Egham where the engine was removed, given a cambelt service, the brakes overhauled, the suspension all gone through replacing all the bushes, removing the shock absorbers and springs, fitting two new rear shock absorbers and refitting the front shocks after checking and cleaning, checked through the fuel system replacing the fuel filters and renewing a fuel pipe which had to be made at the Ferrari factory. Fitting a new set of Michelin tyres and a new battery, all at a cost of £35,000 with the odometer reading 14,097 miles. In June 2018 the Testarossa returned to Maranello and was stripped down and repainted at a cost of £30,000, a further £2,000 spent on mechanical items before the year had finished and the odometer reading 14,428 miles. Since 2020 it has been fully maintained and serviced by Universal Classic Cars in Hampshire to keep this Testarossa one of the best in the world. It is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in June 2024 and a file containing invoices from 2017 onwards, brochures and handbooks and a statement from a mechanic who worked on the car when it was recommissioned in 2014 after being in a collection. This example can be considered a genuine collector's example and is sure to attract attention not only from the UK, but also worldwide.Consigned by: John Tomlin Interested parties should note that the Ferrari records show the production date 11/6/1991, the invoice date was 6/8/1991 and the warranty start date was 22/2/1993.ONE OF THE LAST RIGHT HAND DRIVE BUILT WITH ONLY 14,780 MILES FROM NEWIT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION THROUGHOUTHAS A GOOD HISTORY FILE

Introduced in 3.8 litre form in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type caused a sensation when it appeared with instantly classic lines and 150mph top speed. While, inevitably, the car's stupendous straight-line performance and gorgeous looks grabbed the headlines, there was a lot more to the E-Type beneath the skin. The newcomer's design owed much to that of the racing D-Type and, indeed, the E-Type would be one of the last great sports cars developed directly from a successful competition ancestor. Just as in the D-Type, a monocoque tub formed the main body/chassis structure while a tubular spaceframe extended forwards to support the engine. The latter was the same 3.8-litre, triple-carburettor, 'S' unit first offered as an option on the preceding XK150. With a claimed 265 horsepower on tap, the E-Type's performance did not disappoint; firstly, because it weighed around 500lb less than the XK150, and secondly because aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer used experience gained with the D-Type to create one of the most elegant and efficient shapes ever to grace a motor car.Originally registered on 2nd May 1968 this Jaguar E-Type is dismantled and is a restoration project. The bodywork and paintwork has been completed, often this is the costliest part of a restoration. The engine rests in the car although suggestions would be to remove the engine to gain access to other areas and to fit the gearbox and clutch to the engine prior to refitting. The rear axle cradle appears to have been overhauled and is fitted to the car, as is the front suspension meaning the car rolls on its wheel. Everything else is removed from the car and appears to be generally boxed up for ease of transportation. We are told all the parts are present to complete the project, although interested parties are advised to come and check for themselves. These are uncomplicated cars and The Jaguar Drivers Club are always very helpful in sourcing any parts which may be missing or need replacing and for any help in re-assembling the car. This Jaguar Series I 2+2 Coupé is only being sold due to lack of suitable storage and workshop space and appears to be very realistically estimated. It comes with a V5 registration document. The 996 model is a superb car; quick, reliable, well-made and representing the birth of the water-cooled 911. With a wide range of models on offer, the most iconic is, of course, the Turbo. Featuring four-wheel drive and a 3.6 litre, intercooled engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning GT-1 car pushing out 420bhp and hitting 60mph in a whisker over four seconds, this is genuine supercar territory. The 996 was seen as a more relaxed and usable 911; however, in Turbo guise, the driver would get the best of both worlds; a luxury leather interior with every creature comfort combined with the ability to drop the hammer and reach a top speed of a claimed 190mph. In 2002, the X50 package was offered as an option on the Turbo that included larger K24 turbochargers and intercoolers, a revised ECU and quad-pipe exhaust which raised power output to 444bhp, however in 2005, Porsche introduced the Turbo S model available as either a coupé or cabriolet. The Turbo S was essentially a 996 turbo with the X50 option but also included PCCB, six-disc CD changer and aluminium-faced instruments. Worldwide production for the 996 Turbo S (including both Coupé and Cabriolet) was 1,563 cars. This makes this model very limited in numbers.A collectable and rare example of the 911 presented in Artic Silver with contrasting black leather trim, this example of the iconic Turbo S was first registered on 4th October 2004. Originally a Porsche Press car and featured in magazines including Autocar, Evo magazine, Porsche 911 World and 911 Magazine, copies of which can be found in the history file. Costing when new a shade under £100,000, this example has covered a mere 61,900. Importantly, a manual example of the ultimate incarnation of the 996 Turbo, this is one of just 1,563 units produced of a desirable Turbo S boasting the X50 engine and believed to be one of less than 60 UK manual cars. Upon inspection it was advised the car would benefit from new tyres and a wheel refurbishment, but our vendor has sensibly taken this into account when pricing the car allowing a new owner to adorn the Turbo S with their own choice. The bodywork and trim are all in good order and the car has an MoT test certificate which is valid until July 2024 with the only advisories regarding tyre wear. The car boasts just six former keepers in its 19 years along with the original magazine from its use a press car and a large folder of paperwork and invoices. We are informed the car drives well and is still eye wateringly fast as it should and, as a flagship Turbo S made at the end of the 996 generation’s life, comes with the X50 option pack as factory standard. This includes larger turbochargers and intercoolers that propel the car to 60mph in four seconds and combined with Porsche’s excellent stability control, makes for a sensational and satisfying drive. This stunning example is an ideal usable modern classic investment that can be fully enjoyed at a fraction of the original cost and boasts ‘Press car’ provenance. Ranking alongside the Volkswagen Beetle, Mini and Land Rover as one of the classic mass-produced cars of the post-war era, Citroën's quirky 2CV debuted in 1949. Intended to provide basic transport in a period of post-war austerity, the 2CV outlived its humble beginnings, going on to attain cult status as the favoured car of the environmentally concerned motorist. Although the original 375cc air-cooled flat-twin engine grew, eventually, to 602cc, the 2CV's performance remained modest at around 70mph flat-out, not that that concerned the majority of its devotees for whom the roomy interior, full-length sunroof and frugal fuel consumption were of far greater importance. By the time production ceased in 1990 more than 5 million 2CVs of all types had been made. This delightful example was registered in 1987 and presents well in gleaming white coachwork with Bentley style quilted seats. The original 911ST has an interesting history, probably more so due to its genuine competition lineage. During the era of early 911 production, Porsche were continuously developing their road cars for competition, and with great success. Keen to see customers using their cars in the same manner, they created a series of performance accessories that could be ordered directly from the factory to upgrade a standard car either after, or during production. In 1969 a race-oriented version of the 911 was launched known internally as the ST (the name stood for Sport Touring). The original was based on the 911 T with a 2.3 litre engine, whilst the later 2.5 was usually based on the 911S and internally known as the SR, however, most are referred to as a 2.5 ST today.Interestingly, unlike the ‘73 RS that followed, there is no particular defining characteristic for an S/T, each could be made with different combinations of racing components offered by Porsche to suit the intended use. Whether it was for rally or race, your new 911 could be equipped accordingly.S cams would usually be preferred for rallying, whilst peaky 906 cams could be specified for the most powerful short-stroke, twin-plug, fuel-injected 2.5 motors, often producing circa 270BHP+ at 8000 rpm depending on spec and application (track vs rally for example). Impressive stuff for the early Seventies. There were also a number of gearbox options with ratios for different scenarios, as well as plastic and steel fuel tanks, and a host of different other upgrades for racers around the world, and all were detailed together with setup guides for the 911 in the `Sports Purposes` booklet. Sometimes these special components were installed by the factory, and in other cases, they were installed retrospectively by dealers or racing teams. By the early 70s, this allowed privateer teams to compete with effectively works specification cars. Some early examples could be seen sporting Minilite rear wheels instead of the classic 911 Fuchs alloys, and most S/Ts featured a number of thinner steel, aluminium or fibreglass parts to keep weight down, often in different widths and profiles too. That’s what makes it so hard to define an S/T. It’s not a specific set of components, rather a combination of special components. These were race cars that were extensively modified and rebuilt in period without any thought toward their status as future collectables and as such each car is unique. Originally supplied by AFN in the UK, this matching numbers 1971 911T remained in largely original specification but for a restoration in the late 90s, sold to specialist Dave Dennett of DSD Motorwerks in 2010 for conversion into a period specification ST. During the build, any modifications he made were period correct, his aim being to acquire FIA competition papers when completed. This included the steel arches being replicated from period photographs, hand beaten to accommodate 7” x 15” front and 9” x 15” rear wheels, and a lightweight interior being fitted. The original matching numbers engine was retained, however currently fitted, is another engine built from a genuine un- numbered 7R magnesium case. This engine was fully built around these cases to short stroke ST specification. This included the following: Cases shuffle pinned and gas flowed, 2.2 crank 66mm, Porsche S nitride rods, JE pistons, Mahle barrels, twin plug heads with new guides 3 angle valve seat and enlarged ports, titanium valve springs, new race valves, ST twin plug distributor, S specification cams, uprated and rebuilt MFI pump, uprated oil pump, 1”5/8 race headers and lightweight aluminium flywheel. The brakes were upgraded with aluminium RS spec callipers and vented discs all round and period Koni adjustable dampers and uprated roll bars were fitted in addition to the rebuilt suspension. A lightweight clutch was fitted and a Tuthill adjustable pedal box. Wheels are 7×15” refurbished Fuchs on the front and 9”x15” Minilites were fitted on the rear. Also fitted were upgraded Bosch twin fuel pumps, plumbed in fire suppression system and Schroth 5 point harnesses. As is often the case with these projects, it was sold before being totally finished to our vendor in 2019, who has now continued the journey of personalisation to the tune of an additional £150,000, a car than now ‘owes him’ £275,000 and as he states to create this car would be in excess of £350,000 and involve a 2-4 year wait given the names involved in the build.Offered with a history file detailing the build with photographs and documents in a box file full of provenance of the car now and back to the 80’s. The matching numbers 2.2 engine is stored and this and the fibreglass bumper for FIA papers comes with the car, the new owner will need to collect or delivery can be arranged at their cost. The modified Porsche scene is dominated by Singer with its reimagined ST built on a later 964, Tuthill with their interpretation the 911K, in an area that ever popular, enhancing original cars to a period upgraded specification this example sits neatly offering a buyer the opportunity to rub shoulders with the bespoke ‘resto mods’ like Singer. If you are looking for a genuine period car with period `Sports Purposes` upgrades, together with a nicer interior than a stripped-out racer, then this car certainly has a good deal more kudos than a backdated example. If you want to take things a bit more seriously remove the niceties, put the fibreglass panels back on, install a pair of current FIA seats and this car will be ready for the Tour Auto or Modena Cento Ore without the three to four year wait for the build of a car and the expense of over £300k to build the car today. AMG, which is now the official performance division of Mercedes-Benz, has a long history of producing high-performance derivatives of Mercedes' standard production vehicles. With the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG in 2010, the Affalterbach-based firm took a significant step forward. First seen at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and acknowledged as a tribute to the legendary 300 SL 'Gullwing' coupé of the 1950s – arguably the world's first supercar – the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was notable as the first car to be designed in-house by AMG. A collectors' item from the day it was announced, the newcomer featured 'Gullwing' doors like its illustrious predecessor and succeeded the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at the top of the German manufacturer's range. Styled by Mercedes-Benz's Mark Fetherston, the SLS AMG received numerous prestigious design awards, and is the only automobile ever to have won the (gold) Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany. Boasting a chassis/body of mainly aluminium construction, the SLS (Sport Licht Super) was powered by a 6.2 litre V8 engine producing 563bhp initially - the most powerful normally aspirated production car engine of its day - while the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission was similarly state-of-the-art. A rear wing, extendable at high speeds, kept the SLS stable at its near-200mph maximum, while its low weight (3,573lbs) helped the car lap the Mercedes-Benz test track quicker than its SLR McLaren predecessor. Not surprisingly, given its pedigree, the SLS AMG proved very popular with racing drivers, Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton among them, while the list of celebrity owners includes Eddie Murphy, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Pacino, Roger Federer, Sylvester Stallone and Tom Hanks. Several limited edition versions were introduced, including a GT3 racer, leading up to the SLS AMG GT Final Edition of 2014. Mercedes-AMG CEO Tobias Moers has said that there are no plans for a successor, so for the time being the SLS AMG remains the ultimate expression of the noble 'Gullwing' tradition. This stunning example presented in Fire Opal Red with Black Designo Exclusive Diamond pattern leather and carbon fibre bonnet as per every SLS Final Edition has covered a mere 4,500 miles from new. Originally registered 19th June 2014, this example was owned for several years by the first owner before being sold by Romans International to its second owner who kept it for a year before Romans were again commissioned to sell it to our vendor in 2023. Limited to only 350 models worldwide, this is the last ever version of the iconic Gullwing Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The Final Edition is based on the SLS AMG GT, the later version which has a 20bhp power boost over the standard SLS and features a remapped double clutch seven-speed gearbox with upgraded suspension improving the car's performance and handling considerably. Final Editions such as this have some unique touches to make them it that extra bit special including a carbon fibre bonnet with a central air outlet, carbon fibre splitter on the front apron, a fixed carbon fibre rear wing from the SLS Black Series plus a set of forged light alloys and finally a diamond patterned exclusive leather interior. Of the 350 SLS Final Editions made worldwide which is a combination of both coupés and roadsters, it is believed only six were UK supplied Gullwing coupés with this example being one them and one of the rarest cars you'll ever find on the UK market. We believe the SLS to be a modern day classic which will be one of the most remembered and desirable Mercedes in years to come, a great investment opportunity as proven by the 300 SL Gullwing that the SLS was based on. Last serviced at 4,400 miles in December of 2023, this car boasts a main dealer service history and the car has also recently been treated to PPF on the front and carbon interior. With one of the last 6.2 litre naturally-aspirated V8 engines Mercedes will ever make it is of no surprise that we are seeing many collectors buying up the best examples, with the AMG Black SLS now fetching in excess of £700,000 and SLR’s values increasing year on year. Keeping an eye on its future value is certainly worthwhile but meanwhile own one of the design icons of the modern era harking back to the design icon of the 50’s.. The Chevrolet Task Force was Chevrolet's successor to the Advance Design series. The Task Force series ran from late 1955 (second series) through 1959. At GMC dealers, it was called the Blue Chip series. The 1955 second series offered standard options and add-ons such as 12-volt electrical systems, Chevrolet’s first V8 engine since 1915 (265 cubic inches), and Fleetside beds in 1958. Commercial trucks and various other heavy-duty models were available. This stunning customised ‘flatbed’ truck has undergone a detailed and expensive £50,000 restoration by the renown specialists, Adam Redding Classic Cars in South Buckinghamshire in 2018 (photos of restoration can be seen in the history file). The body was taken right back to bare metal and resprayed and looks fabulous. The interior is new, as are the dashboard and door cards. It is based on a RV chassis and is powered by a big block Ford 460, 7.3 litre V8, mated to an automatic gearbox with Hurst shifter, which sounds fantastic via its mighty looking twin chrome exhausts which tower above the truck behind the cab. This versatile semi-commercial truck can be driven on a standard driving license and is fitted with an electric winch which could be used to haul up your classic vehicle to take to shows or to be utilised for commercial use, depending on reason to purchase. The Porsche 992 is the eighth and current generation of the Porsche 911 which was introduced at the Porsche Experience Centre, Los Angeles on 27th November 2018. The 992 has wide rear-wheel arches which was a part of every model in the 992 lineage (a design feature limited chiefly to high performance variants of previous 911 iterations) along with 20-inch wheels on the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. Compared to its predecessor, the 992 is 45 mm wider and uses aluminium body panels. The 992 also has a new rear bumper with larger exhaust tips than its predecessor. The front of the car is designed to mimic the appearance of an early 911 in a modern fashion. The interior also has received significant changes including a straighter dashboard which harks back to the shape of the dashboard used on the classic 911. The instrument cluster consists of two seven-inch digital displays and an analogue tachometer also a reference to the classic 911 models. The engines have Piezo injection and a revised intake system, a wet mode feature is also introduced on the 992 which uses acoustic sensors on the wheel wells to detect wet pavement and adjusts the stability control, the rear wing position and gearbox responsiveness to keep the car stable. A Sport Chrono package is also available on all models and features an over boost function that provides increased performance for 20 seconds with the 0-62 mph acceleration times decreased by 0.2 seconds with the Sport Chrono package. This stunning 2020 (2021 model year) 992 is presented in GT Silver with black leather heated trim. First registered on 10th November 2020, this example is well specified with electric heated seats, heated steering wheel, Sports Chrono pack, Sports exhaust with the ‘loud’ button and LED Matrix headlights. Boasting just 20,000 miles from new, in 2022 YP70 XAG was subject to an insurance loss and categorised Category S (structural damage that will need professional repair before they are safe to drive). However, on reviewing the photo of the damage this appears to have been overzealous with the damage relating to the front drivers side bumper with the airbags not having been triggered. Earlier this year the current owner and vendor commissioned Autolign Inspections, the only company in the UK who are recognised by HPI as the vehicle inspection company for the change of status of Category C, D, S & N vehicles. After a full inspection they changed the status to Condition Inspected which ensures that all repairs have been completed to a high standard and the car removed from the Category S status. This example of the latest incarnation of the 911 is offered with a very attractive estimate and thus provides the opportunity to own and drive one of the best engineered modern day sports cars, equally adept at daily driving as it would be storming around the Nürburgring all while looking every part the £135,000 plus a new example costs. With a top speed of 283kph, this Ferrari was truly one of the fastest sportscars on the market during the 1980s and combined with such advanced technology as air conditioning and central locking as standard, the overall package had it all. Launched during the 1981's Paris Salon, Ferrari's 512i Berlinetta Boxer most notably marked the arrival of fuel injection on Ferrari's flat-12 engine replacing the familiar Weber carburettor setup. Fuel injection not only improved an engine's flexibility but made it much easier to maintain as well as prolonging the lifetime of the engine and remained in production for almost three years. With just 48 righthand drive examples ever built, this made it the rarest variation of all rhd Boxers. This is a particularly special car as it was used as the demonstrator for Maranello Concessionaires and indeed one of the very last 10 UK Boxers as the Testarossa was introduced later that year.It was delivered in May 1984 to the dealer in Egham in classic Rosso Corsa with contrasting tan leather seats with Daytona pattern inserts. It was then sold and exported to Jersey where the car was used sparingly before being re-imported in 1998 by previous concours winner Michael Clarke having covered just 8,800 miles. The engine bay area was then detailed and minor paint rectification was carried out. In 1999, with 10,227 miles recorded, the car was transported to the workshops of multi-course winner Nigel Chilton Hunt and Neil Cornes of CCH where it underwent initial an inspection to decide what was required to make this a concourse winning car. It was initially sent to the paint shop where minor paint rectification took place. The bodywork was initially machined polished followed by a hard wax polish applied by hand.It was then returned to the workshops and lifted for the suspension and brakes to be removed, everything was bead-blasted to ASI Grade 2, cleaned, inspected and refinished. The engine & gearbox assembly was then removed where it was cleaned and all ancillary components were removed and inspected the cost of which totalled in excess of £30,000. The cylinder heads were re-torqued and the valve clearances reset with new camshaft and ancillary drive belts installed. The engine was refinished in a low machine heat resistant paint and the rear engine frame cleaned and re-finished in satin black. The wheel spinners were re-chromed and the shock-absorbers were overhauled with an invoice at the end of May for just over £9,000. The radiator was then removed for cleaning and refinished in black with cooling fans removed cleaned and refitted.New front wheel bearings, new tires and newly refinished wheels were all installed with new brake hoses, re-built brake calipers and re-finished fuel tanks in silver with oil tanks in semi-matte black. The road springs and anti-roll we refinished in the correct black paint and all finally refitted and adjustments made totalling £14,200. Final finishing detailing and refitting completed eventually in July 1999 adding a further £5,300 whereupon it was dually entered into the Ferrari Owners Club Concourse d’Elegance where, unsurprisingly, it won first in class and featured in the Autumn 1999 addition of the FOC magazine. Subsequent works have been carried out by Nigel Hudson formally of Emblem Sports Cars/Nigel Mansell Sportscars of Westovers in Dorset. At the time, this was thought to be one of the finest examples of the 42 512BBi’s imported to the UK.The current owner purchased the car in 2006 with 16,500 miles covered and it remains in exceptional and original condition having driven just 16,706 miles from new and finished in its original paint and trim. Believed to have had only three private owners from new. The car was supplied with a comprehensive cam belt service (2013) by Ferrari specialist’s specialists DK Engineering and a more recent service at Bell Classics in St. Albans in 2018 to the tune of just over £2,500. Supplied with a fresh 12-month MoT tests as well as a new cambelt service, an important factor when dealing with 12-cylinder cars, it also benefits from its original Ferrari owners books, wallet and history folder. With very few miles driven in recent years, this near-faultless Boxer represents not only handsome investment potential but also one of the most stunning designs to leave the gates at Maranello. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced in 2005 as a successor to the DB7. It features a sleek and aerodynamic design, with a powerful V8 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. Under the bonnet, the Vantage is powered by a 4.3-litre V8 engine that produces 380bhp and 302 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of around 175mph. The exterior of the Vantage is characterised by its low, wide stance and classic Aston Martin design elements, including the signature front grille and distinctively shaped headlights. This particular example was purchased new by our vendor in 2007 and was very tastefully specified in California Sage with an attractive dark green leather interior. The car has been used sparingly, having covered only 13,500 miles in the last 17 years. The car has always been particularly well maintained, with 12 main dealer service stamps and a further two from Bamford Rose, an independent Aston Martin specialist. Given the particularly low mileage and single enthusiast ownership from new, the overall condition of the car is understandably particularly impressive. Supplied to the auction with a large history file, MoT test certificate valid until April 2025, a V5C registration document and including the cherished registration number, this Aston Martin is one for the collector or discerning enthusiast who wants something a little different to the regular grey or black cars we so often see. Offered with no reserve. Consigned by Fraser Smith

Established as a buggy company before the Civil War, Studebaker entered the automotive business in 1904, building bodies for chassis supplied by Garford of Elyria, Ohio. By 1913, the company was building its own cars, beginning a tradition of well-built automobiles from South Bend, Indiana, that would continue for the next 51 years. By the time Studebaker moved to Canada in 1964, it was the country’s oldest automobile manufacturer and among the longest surviving car manufacturers in the world. The Light Six was in production for seven years, with modern bodywork and styling making this a highly desirable vehicle to own. More than 200,000 were manufactured by Studebaker. This interesting Studebaker was stripped down to the bare chassis by a father and son. It was then fully rebuilt to a very good standard using either new or remanufactured parts. At the same time, a Morris Minor 1000 A-series engine was fitted together with an alternator. This modification means this Studebaker is very reliable and fun to drive. She has been wrapped in blue as the car was required for some film work; underneath the wrapping the colour is white. The blue wrap can easily be removed and the car could be a great addition to a wedding car company, particularly in view of the engine modification. This great looking American classic is UK registered, tax exempt and ready to enjoy immediately. Consigned by Stewart Banks.

Enrico Fumia of Pininfarina's low slung wedge design with high 'kammtail' was reminiscent of his earlier Audi-based Pininfarina Quartz prototype of 1981. The striking lines of the new Grand Turismo Veloce (GTV) and Spiders, revealed at Geneva Salon in 1995, earned countless prestigious design awards from most motoring quarters. Characteristically, the car features concealed headlamps, designed in conjunction with Carello, mounted beneath a clamshell bonnet with illumination port-holes. Build quality was notably a close match to its German rivals and the GTV/Spider helped considerably with rejuvenating Alfa Romeo's reputation for beautiful design and quality crafted sportscars. The year 2000, two-litre cars were fitted with an upgraded twin-cam engine with 153bhp.First registered on 1st August 1997, this stunning Alfa Romeo 2.0 Twin-Spark 16v Spider is a special order example from Alfa Romeo which included a tan hood and wood trim, and is presented in the very best colour combination of black coachwork over a tan interior. The twin-spark engine is seen by many as the better handling option over the V6 due to the lighter nose and torque responsive drive provided by one of Alfa Romeos best-selling engines. The current owner has lavished time in assuring this little spider is in very good condition, during the last 12 months the Alfa has been treated to works including a new fuel pump, thermostat and four new tyres. It also benefits from a recent extensive service and MoT with no advisories and is reported to run and drive very well! Offered with a history file including the current UK registration document, previous MoT test certificates, and various sundry bills. Showing just 6,300 miles from new this superb Alfa is a great example of a modern classic, perfect for drop-top driving with Italian flair included. With summer fast approaching this example will be just as at home on the road as it will in any classic car collection. description to followIntroduced in 1993 to the public, the handsome new DB7 was Aston Martin's first six-cylinder model since production of the DB6 Mk. II had finished in 1971. Styled by Ian Callum, its lines were evocative of earlier Aston Martin models and elements of the DB4/5/6 could be seen in its design. Arguably one of the most attractive looking cars ever produced by Aston Martin, the DB7 was well received and attracted new customers worldwide with its traditional layout of the curvaceous two-door coupé body and powerful six-cylinder engine.Power was supplied by an all alloy double overhead camshaft supercharged 24 valve inline six-cylinder engine which produced 335bhp @ 5750rpm. The supercharger was supplied by Eaton who also provided blowers for the mighty eight-cylinder Vantage that was produced at Newport Pagnell at the same time as the DB7 at Bloxham. Regarded by many as the purest modern Aston Martin, the DB7 will undoubtedly be a collectable car for years to come and is equally at home in the city or out on the open road.Originally registered on 17th May 1995 this manual transmission Aston Martin presents very well. The Silver coachwork is virtually unmarked and the grey leather interior has obviously been well cared for. The vendor is a fastidious collector and looked long and hard for a manual transmission example that was in the right condition for him. Hence the reason why he has owned this car for the last 12 years. A very good service accompanies this DB7 and such is the conscientiousness of the vendor, he is putting the car into Aston Martin in Leeds to have a service prior to auction. Fitted with magnesium wheels and a sat nav that sits in the centre consol by the gear lever this six-cylinder DB7 is, to be expected, reported to drive with no known faults. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a fresh MoT together with a host of invoices this well cared for DB7 i6 a true British classic at an affordable price. Consigned by Stewart Banks. The 308 GTB was launched at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 and was built alongside the 308 GT4, contrived as a replacement for the 246 Dino. Designed by Leonardo Fiorvanti, the man who styled some of the most iconic Ferraris including the Daytona, the new 308 was a rakish and attractive body which fused classic elements of Ferrari styling with a thoroughly modern design. For the first two years of production, the body of the 308 was produced in fibreglass after which steel was used. The 308 shared a similar tube frame chassis as the original Dino and 308 GT4 with four-wheel double wishbone independent suspension. The engine was a V8 unit which was positioned behind the driver; it was transversely mounted with double overhead camshafts and four 40DCNF Weber carburettors, latterly replaced with Bosch K Jetronic mechanical fuel injection. This lovely privately owned and entered 308 GTS was built by Ferrari in Marinello December 1979 as can be found by the original order and correspondence with Ferrari aficionado Tony Willis. Delivered to the UK on 25th April 1980 to Mr Wozniak, a dentist, via HR Owen Ferrari London. The original order shows that car was specified in Rosso Chiaro with Nero black hide, with matching carpets, air conditioning, wider wheels, front spoiler and fog lamps with flashing facility all of which can be seen in the history file. In 1989 the car had been purchased by a Mr Baughn, printed correspondence with Marinello Concessionaires Ltd shows that he was unhappy with his bodywork and commissioned Maranello’s to fully bare metal repaint the car at a cost of £18,000 before he had the car fully retrimmed two years later, owning the car until 1998.In the tenure of owner number three, whilst being thoroughly enjoyed and very well maintained, the car had its first dealing with Kent High Performance Centre, this a relationship with the car that has lasted up until recently with Kent High Performance performing the latest Cam Belt service for our owner in 2022 at 61,299 miles. The History file is extensive, almost all MoT certificates are present as is what appears to be every bill and piece of correspondence with the car, our vendor purchased the car from Kent High Performance/The Ferrari Centre in 2018 and has frequented shows and meets always gaining compliments about his GTS.Importantly, this is a UK supplied right hand drive early (1979 production) example, seen as more desirable than the fuel injected cars that followed and sits correctly on the original wheels with good tyres all round. Our vendor states that the buyer should have all the confidence to not only purchase but drive the car home from auction with the wind in their hair. Supplied with a large history file including original book and service pack and treated to a new MoT for reassurance. One of the best privately owned and true enthusiast 308’s we have had the pleasure to offer, viewing is highly recommended for an iconic example of the prancing horse. Rationalising its manufacturing, General Motors moved production of Chevrolet commercial vehicles to its Vauxhall car plant at Luton, from whence a redesigned range of 'Bedford' branded commercials emerged in 1931. In 1939, Bedford introduced the 'K' series which, in common with passenger cars of the time, was more curvaceously styled and featured a rounded radiator grille. The 'K' series catered for 30-40cwt payloads, while further up the scale Bedford offered the 'M' and 'O' series for loads of up to three tons and five tons respectively. In August 1939, two new prototypes of very special public vehicles were launched. The first was the famous red Routemaster double decker bus the second was the Bedford OB single decker bus, each destined to become an icon in their own right. Only a few weeks later war was declared and most of the Bedford production went into producing military vehicles and any buses that were made usually had utility, wooden slatted seats. Relatively few 'OB' chassis were built prior to WWII, but the model would prove to be an outstanding success with 12,766 produced up to 1951, making it one of the most popular buses of its type ever. After the war, in an effort to stretch the available facilities and resources the Government ‘persuaded’ coach and bus builders to produce a dual purpose Bus/Coach model. This lovely 1949 Bedford OB Bus/Coach by Duple is one of these models, positioned halfway between a luxury Vista Coach and a utility Bus. Because it lost the curved swage lines of the luxury coach it was nicknamed the ‘Straight Liner’ which very few remain. In April 1949 this Bedford OB, body number DU54127 was supplied to South Nottinghamshire Bus company. Finished in cream with red wings and roof, with lovely red interior this coach is fitted with a tachograph. It can be driven on a normal driving licence with up to eight, none paying passengers, or it is fully licenced to be used commercially. Supplied with a V5C registration document, a class six MoT test certificate which expires 28th August 2024, a PSV certificate of initial fitness and a history of the eight weekly PCV inspections with a new inspection being carried out just prior to the sale. This Bedford OB presents well, will be driven to the auction and is an opportunity to join the classic bus owner’s community with a business potential. Consigned by John Tomlin. First registered in March 1991, this modern example has fast become a classic in its own right and good cars, such as this, are now hard to find. Finished in the classic Smoke Silver with Mushroom plaid interior, this benefits from the ‘Sportline’ chassis option which consisted of lowered and uprated shocks and springs, bigger anti-roll bars and an uprated & more direct steering box. Also included is a sports steering wheel with 15-hole light alloy (fully refurbished) wheels, electric sliding/tilting sunroof and self-levelling suspension.Serviced by Mercedes-Benz Chichester from new to 83,800 miles and subsequently by further specialist garages, it had a new windscreen fitted in June of last year under the watchful gaze of Jamiroquai’s front man and noted classics collector, Jay Kay. It has since been serviced in 2019 by Mercedes-Benz experts, John Hains of Goring-by-Sea totalling over £1,300 and, most recently with Smercs of Portsmouth, leading Mercedes-Benz specialists on the South Coast. With Cosworth models now in excess of £20,000, this now-coveted Sportline example is offered without reserve, with a full 12-month MoT certificate and will be of firm interest to enthusiasts who are now featuring these modern classics in their collections.
