The final for the European market being the 4.2S, being unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005. Instantly recognisable by the revised white Jaguar badge, other distinguishing features included exclusive exterior colours (Copper Black Metallic, Frost Blue Metallic, Bay Blue Metallic and Satin Silver Metallic) and interior colours, with two distinct veneer options for the instrument panel, polished door treadplates and leather-edged floor mats. New unique 20-inch split-rim BBS Perseus performance wheels plus cross-drilled Brembo brake discs, red wheel badges and red brake callipers were also notable features. Firmer springs, dampers and anti-roll bars with improved steering direction and lowered by 10mm improved the XKR's handling further too. With a limited production run of just 200 cars, these run-out edition X100s are good news both to drive and in terms of investment potential. One of just 200 XKR 4.2S ‘white badge’ limited editions said to have been produced and finished in Copper Black Metallic, one of the four special edition colours, with optional BBS ‘Sepang’ wheels. This example was pre-registered with ‘Stratstone Jaguar’, Hanley and therefore records one previous keeper on 20th June 2006. The vendor purchased the XKR from this very dealership on 15th September 2006 with sub 20 miles on the odometer. Today, having covered some 51,500 miles, it possesses a service history of 3 main dealer services plus specialists with 15 stamped entries in total. We are assured by our vendor, ‘it has always been serviced on time’. As is often the case with this generation of Jaguar, attention has been paid to many of the usual areas of corrosion on these models. Invoices since 2017, show regular treatment with Waxoyl underneath and around the suspension, with repairs to the sub frame mounts and the front of the sills as required. Other work has included rust repair and paint at a very high standard to the front and rear wings. Overall there has been c.£11,000 in expenditure since 2017, with both BW Sports Cars and Oliver Wardle Classic Cars in Stoke-on-Trent. We are pleased to report the XKR has also been fitted with new headlining and a driver’s seat bolster repair (more common areas of deterioration). It is being offered with the book pack, invoices for work carried out and the original V5C Registration Document. Registration No: B144 WWT Chassis No: SCFCV81C6FTR15398 MOT: October 2025ex-Aston Martin Owner's Club Chairman ownershipJust 48,000 miles and four former keepers from newA notably nicely presented example with some £8,000 worth of expenditure in the last three yearsPrevious full repaint and still presented in its original colour schemeOffered with an extensive history fileOne of just 439 Weber-carburettor fed V8 Volantes madeIntroduced in June 1978, the Aston Martin V8 Volante was among the most stylish 2+2-seater convertibles that money could buy. Utilising a strengthened version of its two-door Saloon sibling’s sheet steel platform chassis, the newcomer was equipped with independent coil-sprung front suspension, a De Dion rear axle, four-wheel disc brakes and power-assisted rack and pinion steering. Sporting a ‘power bulge’ bonnet to accommodate the quad Weber carburettors that sat atop its 5340cc DOHC V8 engine, the soft-top was typically ordered with three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. Reputedly capable of over 140mph and 0-60mph in 7.7 seconds, the V8 Volante featured sumptuous leather upholstery and a beautiful burr walnut dashboard / door cappings. A smash hit with America’s rich and famous, most of the 439 carburettor-fed cars completed between 1978 and 1986 were to left-hand drive specification.Supplied new on the 1st April 1985 to the first owner, a business by the name of Cooper Metals, through Aston Martin main agents JCT600 (Car-Tech Centre) of Shipley, chassis 15398 was finished from the factory in the beautiful colour scheme of Forest Green paintwork complemented by a Beige leather interior upholstery with Dark Green piping and Green carpets. Serviced at Aston Works Service in Newport Pagnell for the first and second services, thereafter, service work was shared with other stalwarts of the marque; Ian Mason and Chapman Spooner, being serviced almost every year until 1998 and having covered 44,053 miles. Over the subsequent years, the Volante has clearly been cherished, making use of skilled Aston Martin specialists. In 2002/3, chassis 15398 was again entrusted to Ian Mason for significant mechanical maintenance, including removal of cylinder heads and conversion to unleaded fuel, as well as a comprehensive top-end overhaul undertaken including a carburettor refresh and a differential overhaul. The front suspension was also dismantled with brake and shock absorber renewal completed and sill restoration, amongst much further work, all of which totalled some £26,800.Stored off the road from c.2006 until 2016, the Volante was then entrusted to Byron International, who at the time were marque aficionados and brokers of some of the world’s finest Aston Martins, with ‘B144 WWT’ changing hands through them in 2017. During this process, the originality of the Volante was noted – for example, there were tabs on the seat runners that were on the car when new and normally would not stand the test of time. Lavished with a full repaint in its original colour combination shortly after, most recently the Aston Martin has received some £8,000 worth of expenditure in the last three years with improvements being completed by a classic car specialist and including servicing, a new high torque starter motor, renewal of drive belts, overhauls of the water and air pump, air-conditioning re-gas, improvements to the electrics, alloy wheel refurbishment, and new tyres. With minimal mileage covered since the extensive mechanical overhaul by Ian Mason (some 3,000 miles), ‘B144 WWT’ is offered now having covered just 49,000 miles from new and with only four former keepers, one of which was a former Chairman of the Aston Martin Owner's Club. Furthermore, if any V8 Volante was not exclusive enough, this example was chosen as the lead car for Autoglym's advertising campaign in 1989, with an original copy of the advertisement in a Classic & Sports Car magazine accompanying, showing the chauffeur fitted out, appropriately, in a Gieves & Hawkes suit. Offered with an extensive history file that documented the Aston Martin's early life in full detail, the file further includes MOT certificates back to 1989, a large collection of invoices, ownership history, and a current V5C document. Supplied with a no advisory MOT certificate until October, the tool kit, and jack, chassis 15398 was last serviced at 47,316 miles by a classic car specialist. This very nicely presented example is certainly worthy of close inspection! A simply exquisite motorcar, it is perfect for a long-distance journey in style. Registration No: RK58 YZY Chassis No: WP0ZZZ99Z9S730367 MOT: May 2025PLEASE NOTE: On route while being driven to the venue, the instrument binnacle became inoperative. Since this has occurred, the Targa roof and rear windscreen hatch also will not open on the buttons and are therefore thought to be a related electrical issue.PLEASE NOTE: The registration number for this lot is 'RK58 YZY'Gen 2 997 variant in desirable Carrara 4S guise with PDK gearboxCurrent ownership for 13 years and just 3 former keepersc.98,000 miles from newFinished in the rare and striking colour of Nordic GoldFor many the ultimate ‘modern classic’, when it comes to Porsche’s iconic 911 sportscar, it is the ‘Gen 2’ version of the 997-series which is deemed one of the most desirable model generations! Announced on the Porsche website in early June 2008, the newcomer boasted revised DFI (direct fuel injection) engines that were stronger and more powerful than their predecessors plus recalibrated suspension, subtle styling tweaks, and the option of Porsche’s dual-clutch PDK transmission. Significantly smaller and lighter than its 991- and 992-series successors, the 997.2 also did without its feel-sapping electric power steering. The 997 Carrera 4S was, and still is, widely regarded as the greatest non-turbo version of the 911 with the four-wheel drive system providing the grip that ensured stable handling and predictable cornering.Manufactured new in 2008, the Targa Carrera 4S offered, chassis ‘730367’ was registered new on the 13th of November that year. Finished in the rare and striking colour of Nordic Gold paintwork with Black leather interior upholstery, the four-wheel drive Targa was supplied from the factory with the PDK gearbox, Carbon effect handbrake cover, twin five-spoke alloy wheels, climate control, and Porsche Stability Management. Purchased by the vendor when the Porsche was just four years old (in 2012), the 911 has had just three former keepers. Offered now having covered some 98,000 miles from new, the vendor informs that the 911 has been serviced bi-annually by specialists Porschtek in Leeds. Supplied with a current V5C document and the original book pack, the terrific performance on offer combined with reliability and build quality, narrow down the choice of sports cars on offer to the Porsche 997 and this represents a superb example. Registration – 7890 VW Chassis No. – WVWZZZ1YZ4M332919 M.O.T. – January 2026 Odometer – 24,000 This 2004 Volkswagen Beetle is one of those ultra-desirable and oh-so-rare cars – a genuine one lady owner from new example. A 1.6-litre petrol version in gleaming red with a grey fabric interior, it has religiously received an annual service – with a full 20 stamps recorded in the service book. With an odometer reading just 24,000 miles, it has two keys, all the original manuals within the book pack, along with the original tool kit and original radio. The vendor is happy to confirm the car has been “meticulously maintained” and will come with a 12-month MOT. ‘7890VW’ is a Category C write-off, which the vendor explains was due to a minor fire in 2014. “The starter motor got stuck, but fortunately the bonnet was open. We have picture evidence of the fire; there was no damage to any part of the vehicle, and it only caught the edge of the wiring loom. It was just two wires and the wiring loom that needed to be replaced, nothing else.” They confirm the engine, transmission and electrics are all now in top-grade ‘excellent’ condition. The ’Volkswagen New Beetle’ was one of the first so-called retro revivals. First seen as a concept in 1994, the production car was revealed in 1997 to begin production 1998. Derived from the Mk4 Volkswagen Golf, the charming exterior style was unique, as was the open-plan art-deco interior. There was even a flower vase on the dashboard. Using Golf mechanicals ensured it was reliable and cheap to run, and the model became even more appealing in 2003 with the launch of a New Beetle Convertible. Today, this popular car is becoming an increasingly recognised modern classic in its own right. In summary: 2004 Volkswagen Beetle has covered just 24,000 miles One lady owner Meticulously maintained with annual servicing and 20 service stamps
Registration –FN04 FGU Chassis No. – HZ33-005884 M.O.T. – March 2025 Odometer – 34,290 With the Nissan 350Z being such a useable sportscar with a high “smile per mile” quotient, it is often hard to find a low mileage, lightly used example. ‘FN04FGU’ proves to be a worthy exception to that rule having covered well under 35,000 miles from new in the hands of what appears to be two private keepers. The two months of ‘FN04FGU’s’ first ownership is quite possibly the supplying dealer registering it as a demonstrator. Then follows an ownership period of almost 19 years. The current keeper acquired ‘FN04FGU’ in March 2023 at around 32,300 miles. ‘FN04FGU’ hails from the first year of Roadster production and is fitted with the “5EAT” Jatco five speed automatic transmission. This combined with the electric hood, which folds in just 20 seconds, makes ‘FN04FGU’ the perfect boulevard cruiser, whist still offering plenty of bite from the 276bhp 3.5 litre V6 engine. Offered today with a full service history, plenty of other paperwork and a valid MOT until March this year. The Nissan 350Z Roadster was one of those rare cars that was designed to be a soft top from the get-go. As such the Roadster is noted for offering every bit as much on road dynamism and precision as its hardtop brethren. There’s plenty of “show” to accompany the “go,” too. ‘FN04FGU’ presents in classic Blade Silver with black fabric hood and original seven spoke Nissan alloy wheels. The classic coupe configuration, long nose; short tail; muscular rear haunches, earnt the 350Z the “mini muscle car” nickname. The VQ35DE, all aluminium, four valves per cylinder, DOHC V6 engine is not only powerful and robust but sounds sublime too. The current vendor rates ‘FN04FGU’s’ condition as “good” throughout with the electrics warranting an “excellent” rating. The Nissan 350Z was launched in 2003 to become the fifth generation of the marque’s esteemed Z-car line. With the North American market being a key battleground for Nissan, the 350Z’s design was created by the Nissan Design America team based in San Diego. For the UK specification cars suspension tweaks were made by Nissan UK’s Cranfield team to better suit British roads, tastes and conditions. So successful were these that Nissan ultimately adopted them for the Z350 worldwide. It is no surprise, then, that the Z350 is renowned for its responsive “go-kart” like handling. In summary: · An unusually low mileage, low owner UK supplied and specified example · Compete with a full service history and other accompanying paperwork · With a valid MOT and “good” mechanical condition, this is a “ready to enjoy” car
A 1957 Austin A50 Cambridge 1,500 cc. petrol-engined, four-speed manual gearbox four-door saloon car finished in black with red upholstery. Registration No. 93 CPF, apparently first registered on the 28th February 1957. Engine No. 15WC-U-L17632. Currently showing 40,446 miles (Not Warranted Correct). We are selling this vehicle for the second owner, who acquired her in 1980 and has used her over the intervening years on a regular basis. Most A50s were produced running on 15" diameter wheels, however this car was factory-fitted with 13" diameter wheels as a test prior to the 1958 A55 series cars being produced with that new wheel diameter. A new wiring loom was fitted about 10 years ago and the reconditioned engine was fitted in January 2024. As will be noted, the engine in this car is fitted with an S.U. carburettor. A new battery with a two-year guarantee is fitted. The owner drove her over 20 miles to the sale-rooms and she behaved impeccably during our local run for the filming of the on-line video and we can confirm that the heater worked rather well during the recent cold spell. An opportunity to acquire a well-presented, true classic, motor car which is M.O.T. and road tax exempt and sure to create great interest when attending the coming season's vintage shows or road-runs, or indeed when used as a daily driver. ***As with all motor vehicles sold through our auctions, this vehicle is sold in its current condition and all vehicles should be inspected in person prior to bidding.
