An early 18th Century hook and spike wall clock, the thirty hour movement by Walter Archer with square brass dial (25.5 cm), the chapter ring with Roman numerals inscribed "Walter Archer", within four cast brass Classical bust, bird and foliate decorated spandrels, the movement striking on a bell, 33 cm high overall, includes chain, brass covered pendulum weight and two further lead weights CONDITION REPORTS The piece is in attic stored unrestored condition. The hand is extant but broken, literally hanging on by a thread. The movement is very dusty and full of cobwebs but appears to be all there, though this cannot be guaranteed. There is a recently added paper clip holding the face to the movement on the top. The base connections appear sound. The bell appears sound though the nut at the top is very stiff. The loose/spare parts include one large lead weight, one small lead weight, a lead ring weight to the chain and a brass covered lead pendulum weight and cog. There is no actual pendulum - see images for further detail. It is not known if the piece is or could be in working condition. It is clear that a good clean is needed

JAEGER-LECOULTRE; a mid-20th century manual wind skeleton clock, the dial set with brushed gilt increments, in square transparent case, in brass mount, raised on brass square feet, height 20cm.Condition Report: The clock has been wound, but does not appear to be in going order. There is no sign of any physical damage to the movement and it may just need a service. The case shows a crackled or scratched appearance from the back. A Liverpool-style longcase clock of small proportions, the silvered face with brass chapter ring set with Roman numerals, below a roundel inscribed 'Tempus Fugit', with chased feather decoration, chiming movement, in a mahogany frame with swan neck pediment terminating with rose roundels, basket of flowers and scrolls, Corinthian columns either side of the glazed door, on a slender body with quarter columns, on brickwork-effect square base, height 171cm.Condition Report: At the time of cataloguing, the clock appears to be in going order, however this is no guarantee of working order.

A large 19th century Japanese blue and white charger decorated with flora and fauna, with stylised floral motif to the outer rim, diameter 62cm.Condition Report: There is an imperfection, which appears to be something attached on to it, rather than in it, at approximately 8 o'clock if it were a clock face, measuring approx. 4cm x 3cm. Further firing imperfections visible throughout, with some small areas of loss to the glaze. Foot rim is ground, with a small area that appears to have had a small patch of restoration, approx. 4cm across. Otherwise, appears OK, with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration, although it would benefit from a thorough clean, as previously mounted on a wall.

A. Chichester.The majority of similar clocks by Vulliamy have a 12" dial and a single fusee movement suggesting that this example is rarer in having both a slightly larger 14" dial and a twin fusee movement.

This clock is based on the 'large model', in turn inspired by the Fountaine des Innocents in the Les Halles district of the city with the final design being complete by Charles-Auguste Lebourg.
