Traditional Norton handling' said Motor Cycling of the sporting Dominator 650SS. With down-draught inlet ports and twin carburettors providing 49bhp and exemplary handling courtesy of its Featherbed frame, the 650SS's all-round performance was more than a match for Triumph's Bonneville. Indeed Motor Cycling achieved a best one-way speed of 119.5mph with a 650SS, over 10mph up on the Bonneville. This fine example is largely original, bar a resprayed tank, chromed mudguards and a rebuilt engine with the correct twin carburettors. The 6,135 miles on the clock seems genuine judging by past MoTs, with just 365 miles recorded since 1994, most in the past year.
