Braune Diamanten, einschließlich champagnerfarbene Diamanten, verdanken ihre Farbe dem Vorhandensein eines Stickstoffelements in ihrer Kristallstruktur, genau wie es bei gelben und orangefarbenen Diamanten der Fall ist. Je höher der Stickstoffgehalt, desto intensiver ist die braune Farbe im Diamanten. Die dunkelste Farbe, die als Cognac- Diamant (C7) bezeichnet wird und einen tief orangefarbenen Farbton aufweisen kann, gehört zu der teuersten Sorte von den sogenannten "Champagner-Diamanten". GAUTIER 1762 COGNAC MINIATURE Sample no. 4. Miniature sized bottle, no strength stated. This miniature has come from the collection of Mr Lukasz Baranowski, Vice President of Wealth Solutions 2013-2019, who was present at the opening of the bottle on 4 November 2015. The bottle from which this miniature was decanted from was purchased at an auction hosted by Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers, New York, held on 30 April 2014. A copy of the official Notarial Deed detailing the events from opening of the bottle accompanies the miniature.
