A SET OF FOUR ITALIAN PARCEL GILT, CREAM AND POLYCHROME DECORATED OPEN ARMCHAIRS VENETIAN, MID 18TH CENTURY Upholstered in coral patterned purple cotton, the decoration refreshed. 104cm high, 76cm wide, 71cm deep Condition Report: Generally good and structurally sound with wear and tear consistent with age and use. As noted the decoration is refreshed and there is scuffing and scratching to all surfaces, numerous chips to the paint, losses and discoloration. The legs, as to be expected, have suffered the greatest amount of loss. One chair certainly with a repair to front left leg, another with a repair to a back leg as a consequence of old woodworm, others possibly with repairs abd if so they are well disguised. The frames show good age to the undersides, well oxidised and with large triangular corner blocks, these possibly added later. The upholstery generally in good condition.
