Condition - good, one cover missing Green marks: teapot with small chips to tip of spout; Sultanas - good; Granulated Sugar, no cover; jug- good; Coffee jar and cover - good; small jug - some crazing. Lea, Wilford Lane, Bridgford, Nottingham' to verso, two small puncture holes to right edge, one similar minute puncture to upper centre with small glue repair to verso, 91.5 x 112 cm (36 x 44 ins) later moulded wooden frame 100 x 132 cm (39.3 x 51.9 ins)QTY: (1)NOTE:Archibald John Stuart-Wortley (1849–1905), British painter and illustrator. Although renowned for his portrait and sporting art, Woortley created notable landscape paintings such as From Wharncliffe Crags looking towards the Derbyshire Moors, 1875, exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1875 (sold Christie's London, Victorian Pictures, 3rd June 1999, lot 152 (£11,500).The entry in Kelly’s Cornwall directory in 1889 lists James Lanham (1848-1931) as an ‘Artists’ colorman, china, glass and earthen ware dealer, general ironmonger & cutler, general draper & furniture dealer, & ale & porter bottler…, wine & spirit merchants’. His gallery was a vital hub for the artistic community in West Cornwall, being one of the few venues where local artists could exhibit their work.

Collection of T G Green 'Cornish Ware' blue and white to include: granulated sugar, flour, meal, lard, butter, thyme, sugar, sauce and oil bottles, rolling pins etc. Mainly with black printed marks, some unmarked. Together with polkadot toast rack etc. (21) (B.P. 21% + VAT). Toast rack - chip to the base. Peppers - no stoppers. Rolling pin - has crack. Flour - chip to the lid. Large jug - chip to the spout, hair-crack to the base. Medium jug - small chip to the spout. Butter - crack to the lid. Other items - used condition, but OK. Image of backstamp on bottom of Lard dish added.

Green blue banded Cornish Ware, with shield marks, comprising two large storage jars and covers for Rice and Currants, a medium example for Sultanas, six small storage jars and covers for Baking-Powder, Mustard, Sage, Pepper, Cloves and Spice, sugar dredger, flour dredger, salt pig, circular butter dish and cover, two large mugs, pudding basin and a named Milk jug, together with three target marked pieces, comprising salt and sugar shakers and a storage jar and cover, and a small group of similar wares (some faults).
