Roger Kean (British 1949-2023), a couple playing croquet and a still life of flowers with a church below (possibly St Josephs of Highgate). Oil on board, 1966, Signed and dated vertically, 61 x 122cm.Lots 3048 3061. A collection of works from the estate of Roger M. Kean (1949-2023) Kean, together with his life and business partner the renowned illustrator Oliver Frey, was the creator and publisher of the computer gaming magazines Crash and Zzap64. He studied Fine Art in the 1960s at Highgate School under the tutorship of Kyffin Williams and Anthony Green and most of these paintings date to that period, many containing references to the music and personalities of the time.

VINTAGE CROQUET SET, comprising sticks and balls, in wood boxbox 99cm longThe croquet set is in good condition, with no obvious damages or repairs to the sticks and balls. The wood has aged significantly and the clips have rusted. The wooden box has aged, with the hinge still intact on only one side.
