Georgian portrait ring with a portrait miniaure of a gentlemen's face under a domed crystal in oval gold mount with locket compartment to the reverse, engraved Thomas Gillatt ob. 13th June 1793 at 28. Ring size O-P. APHA Ref: KH8VLY3Z The glass is detached from the setting. Uncertain whether the portrait is original to the ring or added later. The portrait was assumed to be on paper but now that the glass is removed/detached, it appears to be painted on ivory rather than paper and there is now an APHA reference. Appears to be 9ct gold. Weighs approximately 9 grams.
