A good furnished English dolls' house circa 1840-50Carpenter-made and with original finishes, the exterior of two bays and three storeys, the windows and doors with cream-coloured dressings set against red brickwork, the interior unusually decorated with patterned glazed chintzes, the windows with original curtains and blinds, the kitchen with fitted dresser and tinplate range, the extensive furnishings including fireplaces by Evans and Cartwright, a bed by Rock and Graner, a Gerhard Söhlke sofa and a number of gilt metal pieces by Erhard, standing on the original base with two drawers to contain additional furnishings, 132cm high including baseFootnotes:It is unusual to find a dolls' house in such original condition without over-painting or re-decoration. A German Second World War Waffen S.S. Early Overseas Cap. Utilising the M.38 army style side cap, this example issued to the pre war Waffen SS known as the Verfungstruppe. The cap is fitted with the single Totenkopf silver button, which is RZM SS marked to the interior, this has been removed and inspected, with its single machine embroidered SS triangular form eagle placed to the side of the cap. The nap of the cloth overall on the exposed areas is very thin, the protected areas by the side curtains have all their nap and in the area around the edges of the SS insignia also the nap has been protected by the insignia itself. One moth hole to the right hand side of the cap as the worn. Army style twill lining, with large oval makers stamp, with the date of November 1942 which is a late issue for this style of cap, good condition £400-£500

The curtain that it is approx 299 cm high: One seam coming loose. Various worn areas along the bottom with holes and probably restitching in areas. Hemmed over with wear evident on the inside of the hem. See additional photos.The other curtain with similar wear and notable tears and patches along the side edge. See extra images. The curtains are 20th Century.It is advisable, if possible, to view this curtains to full satisfy any questions.
