A Dean Rag Book limited Club Edition teddy bear, 'Paddy' - designed by Frank Webster, no. 487 of 1000, with signed and numbered certificate and tags, numbered label to back, in pale apricot mohair with shaved muzzle, orange glass eyes, brown stitched nose, mouth and claws and beige pads (one with maker's label), 36cm high, with original plain card box.
LAWRENCE D.H.: (1885-1930) English novelist and short story writer. Book signed, being a hardback edition of Rawdon´s Roof, First edition published by Elkin Mathews & Marrot, London, 1928, as the seventh title in their series of The Woburn Books. Limited edition printed on rag paper (most pages uncut) and set by hand in Imprint Shadow and printed by Robert MacLehose & Co. Ltd. at the University Press, Glasgow. Signed by Lawrence to the limitations page and numbered 11 of 530. With pictorial endpapers and accompanied by the dust jacket. The volume has suffered extensive water damage at some stage causing some light staining and extensive wrinkling, particularly to the dust jacket, which has since become adhered to the boards as a result. The inside pages remain reasonably clean, and the signature is not affected by the damage. FR

Deans - A boxed Limited Edition Dean' Rag Book teddy Bear 'Old Father Time' The grey mohair bear stands approx. 36cms (H) wearing waistcoat, spectacles and with Deans tags and label, and comes with certificate which numbers the bear at 1942 of 4950.
