Samuel Phillips Jackson (1830-1904), watercolour, Figures on the Beach at Sunset, signed and dated 1895, 30cm x 49cm, original frame. Notes: S P Jackson was an accomplished watercolourist and oil painter born in Bristol in 1830. He was elected as an associate of the British Watercolour Society in 1853, toured widely and exhibited at numerous venues including the Royal Academy, the British Institution and the Watercolour Society. He became a full member of the society in 1876.
