A delightful West German W. GOEBEL (M.J. Huemmal)collection of 8 ceramic child figurines together with a grandfather reading to a young boy sitting on his knee called "Boy - inheriting God's Word" 1979 (Roman/Japan maker). The grandfather figurine is approx. 21cm in height and the child figurines vary in approx. height from 9 -14cm. Figurines in lot are "The Lost Sheep" No.: 680 22; Boy with rabbits (slight damage of cap decoration) No.: 56/0 83; "March Winds" - boy with hands in pockets - No.: 43; Two boys in arm Nr: 123; "Good friends" - girl with kid goat - No.: 182; Boy sitting in apple tree No.: 142 and Girl sitting on fence "Just resting" No.: 112/1. A wartime cigar partially smoked by Churchill and preserved in a 1940s olive jar bearing provenance label on British governmental stationery, 'This cigar was smoked by Mr. Churchill on August 29th 1944 at Rabat, Morocco, at a dinner party given for him by Mr. and Mrs. Stonehewer Bird’. The contemporary manuscript label in the hand of Stonehewer Bird.
